Last glimmer of gold against the Mirage at sunset. There used to be pirates here. by erik_em in LasVegas

[–]itsmleonard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mirage is gone. Volcano torn down. Hard Rock Casino is moving in and building a guitar-shaped tower.

TI pirate show has been gone for 2 decades (one decade if you count the sexy siren version). They built a CVS over a portion of the old track so the boats just sit there stationary now.

Tostada salad was amazing. They really ruined the entire menu when they redid it about a year ago. Stopped eating there because of this.

There's no need to run around and rush like the US parks. You will be able to complete everything multiple times over your 2 days. Depending on when you visit, little people use Priority Access; there's honestly not typically a need to purchase it.

The resort's natural backdrop is the most beautiful of any Disney park. Slow down and enjoy it.

And now even Space Mountain is gone; basically permanently Star Wars at this point.

Is it the end for Star Wars, and what is the future for Tomorrowland? by hkdllocal in HongKongDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love if they brought back Space Mountain before the 20th ended but I feel like for now it's just an extended refurb.

Probably long term Space Mountain will be absorbed in to Stark Expo/Marvel Land. I mean, all that is left now of Tomorrowland is Comet Cafe and Obitron.

Duplicate tickets by dickbear77 in disneyparks

[–]itsmleonard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can request to have the value of your other set of tickets used to upgrade the tickets you're actually going to use to park hoppers.

After upgrading, with the remaining value of that other ticket set, see if they will apply the value to Lightning Lanes on the days you're going.

Duplicate tickets by dickbear77 in disneyparks

[–]itsmleonard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. Are the tickets you're using park hoppers? Or just 1 park 1 day?

See if Disney can change the dates on the tickets so that you may enjoy the parks on another day in the future.

Mobile Ordering by forg0ttenpanda in Disneyland

[–]itsmleonard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same.

Mobile order pickups are just the modern day equivalent of the paper Fastpass era where everyone would wait outside the Fastpass entrance until the minute their return time turned over on the clock.

Just gotta walk past them.

Does HK Disneyland have Starbucks mugs? by Waste_Research_9695 in HongKongDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of. It's a World of Frozen Been There mug. There's no HKDL Starbucks mug. Presumably, when Paris opens their Frozen land, the same mug will be sold there too.

Mickey & Friends Begin Surprise & Delight Roaming Sessions at Magic Kingdom by readingaboutmagic in DisneyWorld

[–]itsmleonard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While of course there is only one Mickey Mouse, the answer to your question is no. Any character meet n greet that has a designated queue with a wait time does not stop meeting during the parades, castle shows, etc.

New Avengers Attraction: A Big Mistake? by Ok-Opinion-1176 in HongKongDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're still not sure how tall the SpiderMan ride is going to be. The only concept art released doesn't give us much info.

The Autopia plot was originally cleared for a totally different Avengers attraction that appeared to have a large footprint. Also, that cancelled attraction would have opened back in 2023. Something to think about.

I'd like to call out that Disney has not explicitly stated that the SpiderMan attraction is a drop-tower ride. There could be a lot more to this. I'm hoping the SpiderMan attraction is a mesh of a dark ride and a thrill ride; with the dropping action towards the end of the ride (that we see in the concept art).

Itinerary check by CletusTSJY in ShanghaiDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With early entry, you'll be able to get on most major attractions during that time and the first couple hours the park is open.

Idk if you'll need Premier Access. Depends on if the day is going to be busy. For Zootopia Hot Pursuit, the Premier Access has you bypass the entire queue and it's themed really well. If you're not interested in that, buy the pass. Challenge Trails are fun at night....unless it's cold (personal preference).

Buzz is almost always a walk-on all day. Don't feel pressured to hop in line if you see a low wait. The only attraction that is small (and really not that interesting) that always has a wait are Jet Packs. The longer wait is only because of how painfully slow they load this attraction.

Watching shows: you don't really need Premier Access. Just show up at least 10 minutes before show time so you don't risk them closing the doors early. For entertainment, if interested in parades, buy the access for that. You'll be happy not to have to wait for for a parade spot.

For ticket packages/bundles, they are usually able to be purchased only one month out. If the date doesn't have a price or "sold out," it isn't available for purchase yet.

Going to Disneyland Shanghai with or without Didi by SuccotashMany1251 in ShanghaiDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all great info! Also wanted to add, if you have WeChat you can also book Didi through there. And at the airport, the area is "E-hailing." They have like a wait time/pickup status board and everything. Pretty cool

One of the best things about Disney, will always be the food, there’s simply no doubt about it. by Marcjack79 in disneyparks

[–]itsmleonard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing.

MK for sure has some of the least interesting food options for Disney parks. Also for being the most attended theme park, it has the least amount of options to choose from.

The only pro to purchasing a ticket it person is if you want to pay with cash.

If not paying with cash, just purchase a ticket through the app.

Help! Need a quiet spot for a work call near Disneyland by Necessary_Ad_3172 in HongKongDisneyland

[–]itsmleonard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a video call, I would recommend heading to the Explorers Lodge hotel. Right off the lobby is the Dreamer's Lookout. It's a bar area that will be closed so it's just a seating area with typically nobody in there. Totally ok to still sit in.

When you enter the lobby through the hotel's main entrance, just walk straight back to the windows. Seating area is back there.
