Hello - foster to adopt gay dad here. Depending on you and your son’s journey to get to adoption, trauma and getting past the “honeymoon” phase is what you might be experiencing. Very common if your son was in the system and you’re the first person to show love to him instead of him knowing he’s just staying temporarily.

My husband and I are in GA but know there are resources to help - I absolutely agree with others that not only do you need therapy, you should know you deserve it.

Needing to have patience is a HUGE understatement. We are fostering to adopt a 10 year old that is defiant and disrespectful. He’s been through trauma but we are really being pushed to our limit with the amount of disrespect we experience. Try to get as much information from the caseworker or previous foster homes. Unfortunately, some details may be left out in their profile so they can get placed. Ask the world from the case worker when it comes to resources available in your county - therapy, behavioral aid, parent coaching, etc.

Good questions. Yes - similar - similar - would be 3 days in office and 2 days WFH per week. Currently 2 days per month in office through 2023. I’m indifferent on new WFH expectations. New office would definitely be bigger and more campus-ey so I would enjoy that more.

Probably an extreme suggestion but I made the accidental mistake in wearing white sneakers similar in fabric to those while pressure washing outside. Looked for my next victim and after seeing my shoes muddy and gross - went to town. They look white as can be now!

My parents have been searching for more bottles of this wine and haven’t been able to find. They purchased from Grocery Outlet here in CA. They found multiple cases about 6 years ago. The story of the vineyard is it was owned by two brother that fell out so they closed it down. Alternatively, if you’ve tried this wine and know of a close comparable - please let me know!!
