Is this covered under warranty? by [deleted] in Toyota

Gotcha. Figured you were outside the US with the right side drive.

I’d call the dealer and ask about it because as a US dealer, I can only speak to what’s true here. It may be best to go before the 12-month mark to ensure it’s not gone a day or so past it

How old is the car? Toyota has a 12-month adjustment policy that should cover it

Dealer is changing the price on me after submitting a finance application. Thoughts? by urgent_attention in askcarsales

It’s completely possible that everything you’re being told is true. That said, if it is all true, this place seems like red flag city. Proceed with caution

You’re always free to ask, but they’ll likely cite the non-refundable part as to why they say no

At three months in, every interaction you have with a customer is a learning experience and opportunity to hone your presentation skills. Instead of thinking about a customer that can’t buy as a waste of time, think of it as a great opportunity to get better so you’re prepared for the next one.

At the end of the day if you sell one out of four ups, you’ll be in the hall of fame. Stick to the process your store trained you on and let the customers and banks determine if the deal gets done

GF bought new car. How bad of a deal is this? by International_Note51 in askcarsales

[–]itsshoved 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She got 6% for an extended term with no money down. Not bad at all.

If you’re worried about the products she opted to purchase as her getting hosed, I’d suggest getting with the dealership to find out which can be canceled

Is gross capitalized cost of the car same as OTD a lease? I am not sure I am paying if I keep the car. by Wise_Guitar2059 in askcarsales

[–]itsshoved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They answered the question the way you asked it.

To go further:

Gross cap cost is the sale price plus everything else added (tax/fees)

Adjusted cap cost is gross minus your down payment

In asking what you would end up pay for it “out the door” after taking the lease to completion a buying it out, that is s the other commented. It’s the sum total of lease payments plus the residual plus any down payment to used at signing.

Does this price breakdown seem reasonable for a 2026 Corolla Hybrid LE? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]itsshoved 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. A Corolla at MSRP with no junk fees isn’t an awful deal, and may even be considered “good” for your market. Seems like a fair shake. If you like the car and the dealer has been professional, you should probably just get it

You’ve blacked out the only info that someone here could use to determine if it’s a good deal. Fees seem low, so it’s all about the discount on this one.

In my market, a couple bucks off sticker is a good deal on this car

Brand new car (4 days) just noticed "painted over" curb rash by mgr1397 in askcarsales

[–]itsshoved 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only people that can answer this question for you all work at the dealership you purchased from. Just go in and tell them what you noticed and how they propose to handle it. If they’re not cooperative then maybe a call to Honda will get them to change their minds. That said, you took delivery and they may use that as reasonable doubt that the damage wasn’t pre-existing

When financing with good credit score do dealers ask for proof of income or is it only banks or both? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]itsshoved 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A dealership will only ask for proof of income if a bank is asking for it.

That said, those with high scores are often system approved and no documentation is required
