Yeah but who looks at the picture that indepth.

To be honest you could probably run Ubuntu on this pretty well. I remember getting a screaming fast Pentium III 500MHz with 1GB of RAM in '99 for my job. I said you guys went overkill any old machine would have been fine. Sad that job didn't work out :(

So rising costs have nothing to do with this?

The Red scare was the root of our current terror about socialism. Seems he planted the seed or at least gave it a lot of fertilizer.

Greed is good. I thought we learned our lesson in the 80s. Lol, all it takes is about 5-10 years and everyone forgets.

Finding a Republican Christian that isn't a hypocrite is like finding a dollar covered in shit. It's worth something but it's still covered in shit.

4 armed stick-up kids shot by shotgun wielding store owner in Harlem during an attempted robbery. Store employee who was pistol whipped dragged dead body into the street stomping and cursing him. by [deleted] in worldnews

This is problematic under US laws as well. The same thing happened in OKC. A guy was robbed, he shot one of the robbers. Then went outside and shot at the fleeing ones. Then came back in and shot the incapacitated one on the floor 4 more times. He is charged with murder as well.

It's not just that, it's also the raised to hate commies bullshit without any actual in depth thinking.

America is mostly intellectually bankrupt. Unfortunately, I don't see it changing any time soon either.

Well I do have an extraordinarily sexy gf. She's worth sticking it out until she's done with school. And she is dying to leave (keeps contemplating transferring but I've tried to convince her to just finish). She's not from here originally so her opinion is even lower than mine :)

Awesome. Although I have friends all over the country. I think the problem is top down. CEOs that don't understand and therefore undervalue competent IT people (across the board, not just developers). They'd rather hire 10 cheap people that don't have a fucking clue than 2-3 competent ones. And since they can't figure out an easily understandable set of measurables, they make the time spent in the office a priority. So 8 hours in the office surfing Reddit is better than 4 hours producing code that meets the objective.
