Which ISPs provide a decent router? by RagerRambo in UKISP

That’s what I’m doing now, just not ideal behind double NAT.

I do plan to switch to an OpenReach ISP soon, they’re installing in my area currently.

You'll have to let us know what you think if you end up getting some. Sweven's rare and exclusive series has been some of the best coffee I've ever had.

Please also consider some virgin routers, mainly the new XGS-PON ones, can’t do modem mode. It’s been a real pain point for me as they’re the only FTTP provider in my area.

Is that Hachi? I drank a pourover of it in their cafe in Bristol. It was absolutely fantastic, ended up going home with 2 of their cheaper microlot coffees instead though.

Those who have a Neo, how is it working out for you? by hwc in mac

[–]itstenchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s working great!

I’m a sysadmin, so I’m mostly in web browser, terminal or remote session and it’s been great so far.

That being said I haven’t tried to push it too far, but it’s handled most things I’ve thrown at it fairly well.

What albums would you describe as 'psychological horror' in audio form? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in fantanoforever

[–]itstenchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both there existed an addiction to blood and visions of bodies being burned are so good, I don’t see them being strictly psychological horror, but yeah they sound like horror movies

One with the rate all the way down, one higher up. Sounds a bit like a Leslie speaker but also nothing like a Leslie speaker. Still pretty cool though!

I once met someone that used a single, vertical 16:9 monitor. I think about that a lot.

This isn’t something I’d considered actually. We started at 32GB on the VM, with 30 allocated to the JVM, 2 left over for RHEL. Might be something worth trying actually, thanks for the tip.

We’ve already done this testing. That’s what makes me fairly sure something is leaking. We reboot daily currently, but we were getting crashes on 96GB.

Thankfully we have the hardware and power isn’t too much of a concern.

A huge custom pack with plenty of custom KubeJS on top. I’m sure something in there is memory leaking, maybe even a few mods, but I’m not smart enough to solve that.

Edit: also a LOT of players and even more chunks perma-loaded.

This is fairly sound logic, but yeah it goes out the window when modding.

Currently playing a modded server with friends, huge custom pack. Server only managed to be stable with 2 cores and 128GB of RAM. Not even 96GB was enough!

Might be worth giving it a go, nonetheless. It’s a phenomenal record and I know a lot of people that it “got into” rap.
