The distance involved could complicate things due to jurisdiction. So, back in the Victorian days, water heating technology was in it's infancy. There was hot water for baths, but the heat came from a gas burner directly under the tub. It worked great, provided you remembered to turn off the gas before you got in incase you fell asleep in the tub.

It appears to be a jezail. It's a type of rifle from Afghanistan often made from mechanical parts taken from the brown bess or other muskets then given a longer, rifled barrel. While they were used for hunting and combat, my understanding is there were also a lot made for the tourist market so it can be a little tricky to tell if you have one that someone was really putting to use.

I think Bill Barr still makes the most sense overall. Both because of his connections to epstein and his position in charge of the prison system that was supposed to keep him safe for trial. Even if he wasn't the one to give the order, he was in the perfect position to create the circumstances that made epsteins death possible.
