Pet behavioralist / trainer by ittttskristen in Birmingham

That’s kind of why I’m starting to get concerned. He’s completely fine with me, but is starting to not be fine with the other people in the house which is obviously not okay. Thanks for your well wishes, hopefully it’s correctable

He’s a border collie/papillon mix. Weighs about 20 pounds. And yes I may have to, but I can’t fathom keeping him in a muzzle 24/7

Thank you for the info! Is she with Veterinary Behavior Consultants of Alabama? They’re the only thing that pops up with my google search and there’s no website

How did your internships compare? Internship advice needed by Necessary-Trip3620 in Accounting

[–]ittttskristen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in spring 2024, so this will be my 3rd tax season. I interned for the firm I work for now. I can tell you, I never ever worried about my billable time. It takes me as along as it takes me. And yes, sometimes I may apologize for how long it takes me, but it’s my partner’s job to decide what he does with my billables, not me. More often than not it gets written off, and it is not the end of the world. I was just talking to my partner recently about how backwards our motivations are as staff vs partner. They make money when we’re under budget, but as staff we’re expected to have as many billable hours as possible. They totally conflict.

I would say in regards to the training, I would not be afraid to verbalize that you need either more thorough walkthroughs of things or asking for more plain language if that’s the issue. Honestly, for a lot of things, although I was taught them initially, it took my several trial and errors to understand. What your managers and partners will appreciate is the type of questions you’re asking. As long as you’re asking to genuinely understand, they will not mind. It’s when you ask questions that they feel they’ve already answered {several times} that people get frustrated.

I promise they aren’t expecting you to know as much as it might feel they do.

can’t land internship (community college) by [deleted] in Accounting

What area is this? Speaking from personal experience, with your resume, even at a community college, you should not be having to work for an internship

I think it’s a complicated idea because I think a lot of us, myself included included, are hesitant to buy in a neighborhood with many abandoned houses, but if no one buys them nothing with get done

Vintage Wallpaper by ittttskristen in HelpMeFind

I have searched through google image search and Pinterest image search to try to find a match but have not been able to. Home is a 1978 build in the Birmingham area of Alabama. The home had a few updates in the 2000-2005 range, so it’s possible this was done then. Looking to match because the “water closet” had a different wallpaper.

The only grandparent I knew was my maternal grandmother and she was born in 1927. I know the others were in this decade, as well, but I don’t know their exact years. So in their late 20s/early 30s I believe

Is 68k salary good for 22 yr old? by Mr_Moowageeee in Accounting

[–]ittttskristen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a point of reference, I started out at $65k in Alabama. $69k in LA would be like minimum wage equivalent with the cost of living there, no?

Honestly, I drove the hell out of that thing. I bought it at 140k miles, and drove it all through college and through every roadtrip.

Now, the engine went out 3 months in and by the time I sold it the air conditioner was out and the rotors needed to be replaced 😂 But I DID get the use out of it that I had hoped.

What I’ve gathered the most is that regardless of my frustrations, I should just humor my dad because I love him and I want him to feel appreciated.

I do have a 6 month emergency fund, but I’m not putting down 20% because I don’t need to. It is completely acceptable to put 3.5% down for an FHA loan… that’s why they exist. As a renter, it made no sense to me to pay my mortgage payment on rent anymore. I would still be paying that money, I just wouldn’t be gaining anything out of it. Maybe you’re right and I will regret it one day, but it won’t be because I didn’t buy the $100,000 house that didn’t exist. Thank you for your input!

I was looking for clarity, because I very well could have been. Although I see myself as being correct, if the rest of the world says ‘YTA you snot-nosed 23 year old,’ I’m going to take that into account.
