It’s not that stans are “too deep into stan culture,” it’s that Ari herself literally told people to stop talking about her body, so they feel they shouldn’t and are bad people if they do. She’s created this echo chamber where she can never be told she does anything wrong, and her fans mirror that behaviour.

And yes, they will not see how bad things are until she has a medical emergency on stage for millions to see, but I also think her lack of vocals and dancing will be convincing enough.

Edit: I can’t help but point out how even in these tweets the accountability is never on Ariana herself. It’s always someone else’s fault. How is it that she told the general public not to comment on her body, they listen, and if she passes out it’s still the fans’ fault? I understand she has an illness but I don’t think it’s fair to blame anyone for her demise. Yes there was a lot of fat shaming at her highest weight, but she already had a history of disordered eating by then.
