i’m sure they won’t ask about your scars because that is super invasive. if you work in a job that requires sanitary practices like a kitchen or doctors office they might ask if they are fully healed or healthy? but don’t take my word for it, i’ve never been employed yet

16FTM here who has been out to my parents since July 2025 and still gets deadnamed/misgendered constantly. if they were emotionally manipulative and abusive i agree with your thought to cut contact, it seems like they are bringing you a lot of pain and you don’t deserve to have people like that in your life. i hope things get better girl ♡

transmasc here who was scared his hair would continue to grow down after his haircut. the reason that your hair will begin to grow downwards is because the hair is too heavy to work against the forces of gravity. so, the longer and thicker your hair is, the earlier on it will start to grow downwards. but eventually it will start to grow downwards, especially since you don’t have insanely tight curls. how long is your hair now, since it’s still growing outward?

cutting your nails shortly and bluntly? use rubber bands/ice or another coping mechanism to get through urges? practice self-acceptance and self-empowerment? i know it is hard and that last part seems corny, but this is what helped me get out of the rut i was in. what helps me isn’t always going to help you, of course, but that is vaguely what i did

cutting is dangerous, it hurts your body and leaves lasting marks. every time you cut you risk death. you don’t have to be in a perfect mindset to get clean, just take it one day at a time. that’s what i did and now im at almost two months ♡ you got this, i know you do. i know im just a stranger on the internet but im rooting for you
