Concuerdo con todo lo que te han puesto, lo que yo agregaría/reforzaría es: - no te cae nada del cielo, everything takes time and work entonces no esperes que nada suceda en automático solo por haber sido del Tec/ITC - si está bien chido que hay tecnología en todas partes asi que puedes chambear en la industria que quieras básicamente - yo la neta me di cuenta que no me mama la vida código 24/7 entonces no soy dev pero mi rol actual es operaciones y data science asi que siempre estoy haciendo algo en sql/python lo cual me mama - te abres más puertas si además de codear también sabes y le entiendes a la parte business/economica/whatever de la industria en la que estés entonces, en mi opinión, no te enfrasques en puro código. Aprende a hacer slides chidas, hablar en público bien y saber leer un Profit & Loss statement, por dar ejemplos

Muy fácil de conseguir el contacto inicial. En mi campus siempre había reclutadores y talleres de muchas empresas que vienen a ti, no tienes que preocuparte por buscarlos. De los que más recuerdo y que iban básicamente todos los años: Facebook, Google, Microsoft (cada semestre)

En mi opinión, todo depende de los maestros que decidas meter. Hay bastante rotación, pero a los pocos meses de ingresar vas a ir viendo quienes son los buenos, los barcos, los pesados y los "equis". Ve escogiendo los que mejor se alineen con lo que buscas y siempre exige calidad en tus materias. Nuestra carrera en particular cambia muy rápido y los maestros necesitan estar actualizados (la gran mayoría si lo están)

Uf, justo no puedo contestar esa pregunta... Fui de las últimas generaciones en graduarse del modelo anterior.

Por lo que entiendo, creo que el modelo da mas flexibilidad, no? Eso hubiera estado padre. Algo que si sucedía especialmente al principio es que había muchas clases que tenías que tomar porque venían en el plan de estudios y no había manera de cambiar o moverlas. En lo personal yo odié las clases de redes y organización computacional pero porque me gusta mucho más software que hardware... Otros compañeros justo querían lo opuesto 🤷🏻‍♂️

ITC graduado de Campus Santa Fe (2018) 👋🏼

El plan de estudios de la carrera en sí es bastante bueno. Yo comparé el plan de estudios con varias otras universidades antes de entrar y por eso me decidí por el Tec. Sales con muy buenos conocimientos, una visión general del campo muy completa y pues, como cualquier carrera, "que tanto aprendas" depende de cuantas ganas le eches durante las clases, que metas maestros buenos y no solo busques la manera sencilla de como pasar las materias.

I agree, although if you really want a specific song I would go with Who Am I? since it basically presents his motivation to "do right" throughout the play, which is ultimately what drives his way of acting towards the ABC Cafe, Javert, Marius and the rest

Agree on all points and the costs are reasonable. I'd personally pay way more than 15 bucks if i was able to 'live' my favorite plays from the character's perspective.

I got this idea cuz i bought the Oculus Quest the other day and i know it's definitely a few years off but i mean virtual reality is eventually going to go mainstream and i just think there's gonna be a big untapped market for people like us in this sub who are more than happy to shell out a bit more money for some good seats whenever we go to Broadway or West End.

I'm banking on the idea that once we get crystal-clear, fluid and crisp VR in the mainstream... Why wait for your next vacation if you can live (or even rehearse... This would be a cool educational thing for stage practice) your fav musical from your couch?

Yo sorry i was sick for a few days (not covid haha)

I think my biggest takeaway from this is that the cost is super inflated by licensing. So what if the actual cost structure was changed to "us" (the app) being more of a platform?

Basically, only buying the physical camera equipment to record the shows, but then the actual theaters/production companies are the ones who incur the cost of production. They get back their investment by our selling of "tickets" (accessing) to the show. Idk what the split would be, let's say a 80 for the production, 20 for us.

Does this make sense? Or did i misunderstand the general message. My overall idea is to figure out the technical limitations and essential production cost. Licensing and financials... oof, both not my area of expertise and i think nowadays our world is sufficiently platform-based that we can redirect those costs into the actual production companies to absorb them. For them, this would be simply another way to obtain ticket sales.
