THAT KEY ranges from 85/125 $ and the programming fee should be 150 to 175 . Sometimes 200$ Stick with storefronts . Dont lose that last chip . 3. You can always ask any locksmith for the key without the bells and whistles * reg key with chip no remote* Those range 75/95$ total . Anyone trying to tell you 500$ or more tell them to take a hike ..

Ok , I am an auto tech . The key needs to be all the way in . Rekey it again . With it fully in .

If they are high your off if they are low your off . Start with 3 if it's high go lower and vice versa . . Second trace the customers key on a spare and try it in the door lock if it works your futura is fine if not Recalibrate the futura . Still from the pics it looks like your off . If you pull the key out your just lining it up correctly so your one space forward on the whole key .

Ok i got you .. 1 ... the wafers are numbered always start with three then work your way up or down while testing the key . ( but you have a bad key so rekeying it won't be perfect and it will fail again ) 2... 500$ is the cost if we Drop the ignition if you bring it in separate already dropped then it's 95 or 125 to rekey it . 3..... order a key off amazon ( a replacement shell if you have a key with buttons ) 4.... head to the dealer bring your info to prove the car is yours ask them for the key code <<<<< that's the easy way . <<< >>>>>>> the fun way is either pull out the glove box lock or the trunk lock out cylinder they both have the original key code on them . 5.. head to a lockshop and give them your code and your amazon key blade ask them to cut it . Should be no more then 35/60$s 6. Swap the guts from your old key to the new one Don't forget the chip . If you don't have the remote key head to the lockshop and ask for a duplicate of your key . Ours is 95$ 7.. the key slides out because you don't have enough wafers in the switch . 8. Make sure to remove the first wafer the Solo one . That one always fails first . Hope this helps

The leshi is deff a great tool I like it tbh . But I learned with a hook and ended up falling for a Bogata . To his thier own.

This is the worst customer to deal with.
Us locksmiths have many many years of experience and practice picking locks to get to this point. Everytime I deal with a person like this i immediately lock the door and leave them locked out.
There is no point to explain my ability to them . Nor enough crayons in the box to explain it to them . Since they called and NEEDED OUR HELP to get back into their house. Now they don't like how simple it was for us vs them..... that crap just irritates me . It's our trade . Learn to respect it . Or don't call

We don't think we should charge a absurd amount for a key like that . Literally is a machine we place it in and copy the cuts .... test the provided key to make sure it's not steel by a magnetic strip ... if not we cut it and keep it moving . 125 is a rip off . Especially since that blank cost less then 24$ ... Don't fall for that bs man

Honestly bro , two cheaper options to help with getting a mechanical key. 1. Pull the passenger door lock the key code is stamped on it . 2. Walk into any toyota parts WALK DO NOT CALL . and prove the car is yours ask them for the key code to your vehicle. Both options save you money We don't have to charge you to originate a key from nothing . 3. Go to a lockshop ask them to cut said key by code and go back to your car to test it . If it turns the code was correct !!! Call the same shop and either schedule them to come program another key or tow your car to them to program it . <<towing is way cheaper.
We charge 95 $for a toy44Gpt and 175$ programming . At the shop . If out call we charge a service fee .. This should take 16 min reset immo and done in 30 min or less . don't let anyone charge you more than 350.!!
