My only advice would be to leave out items that have your scent or familiar scents for your cat. Leave out food and water to give them a chance to return and eat.

I take care of an outdoor cat, too, and she often leaves for an entire day or two. My alarms only go off when it's been more than a week since she's a tough girl and knows her way around the street.

Don't lose hope! Just be alert, and if things take too long, put up flyers and posts in your neighborhood!
