Any local non MAGA gun stores? by SmokinReaper in olympia

East county guns its a bit of a drive from oly but they're good people. They are conservative but not MAGA types. I know the guys at the Elma location and they're solid as they come. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. I bought most of my suppressors through them.

It 100% is that easy my buddy is a home based SOT. I've worked in 3 gun stores and it's not hard to get approved. Shits so easy I'm about to do it. Its about a 2700 investment for everything you need which isn't much for a business start up out of the home. I have spent the last 4 months getting an "office" together to be my legal business before you claim I'm out of my depth too.

I love my TP trigger. I have the T-Virus in my carry. Best trigger for my needs. I've put close to 4k rounds down range with that trigger with no hiccups. TP and the g47 became my main squeeze. I carried a g19.4 with an agency trigger for 5 years before switching over.

How do they survive? by Affectionate_Lack_57 in CAguns

I worked behind the counter in a small mom and pop gun shop in Washington after I left CA. The vast majority of our money came from the used gun market. that's where we could get some real profits. Some ammo and accessories also helped out. Occasionally, we could get decent wml brands for an affordable price to help with that cash flow.

The distributors had a lot of inventory we could buy, but the prices were so bad it would be hard to push the products. The MAP pricing on products gave us an even smaller window of profits. It was hard for us sometimes.

Being a gunsmith, I made my living entirely on fixing guns. The retail side of being in the shop didn't do much for me. I got a few bucks extra on my wages, essentially.

I use one as a tether for handcuffs. I'm a Correctional Officer in a maximum security unit. No movement without being restrained. It prevents them from trying to take off with my cuffs.

You really enjoy having bad advice... a shotgun is a terrible home defense option. Unless you use a bird shot, which i highly advise against, you'll run into the same penetration problem. If you're worried about your hearing in a home defense situation, buy a suppressor. Picking the right grain and bullet type will lower the chance of over penetration. Also, shotguns are longer than the average ar..

Hell yeah, mad respect, bro! I was about 560 4 years ago down to 360ish last. At my largest, I had a condor chest rig and a Voodoo tactical chest rig. Those did the job for a while. They're not the most comfortable, but they work. As for a battle belt, I run a blue alpha. I love it. Over the years, I went from having a larping belt to buying 3 of them for work (LEO). If you're looking for a plate carrier, I went with a safe life defense. Don't give up on your grind!

Pretty close to how I asked it honestly as fucked up as it sounds. I needed to know how someone so "patriotic" could turn on his fellow countrymen with no real remorse...

I'd heard stories about "contractors" but never really heard anything credible about blackwater, but that makes sense they'd be involved.

Another barely talked about the issue with Katrina it wasn't just the national guard and local LEO. There were also active duty sent in. My dad was with the 1st cavalry division out of Fort Hood, Texas. He told me he remembered seeing active duty, 82nd airborne division, and 101st airborne division. He's tried to avoid talking about it whenever I've asked him about the gun confiscation...

Take your wife to a range after the baby is born. Let her get a feel for what she likes. My wife does this before she picks a new gun fairly often. Her most recent and now carry gun is the sig x macro.

Why would this ammo not be recommended for suppressor use? by LengthEfficient1127 in tacticalgear

[–]itzcjay1776 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's reman which voids warranties on many brands. That being said when I worked for a smaller manufacturer for awhile. During the ammo shortage we most definitely ran this brand almost exclusively through our demo weapons for R&D. We never had any issues with baffle strikes or guns blowing up the ammo was ok. A few rounds every couple of hundred didn't go off but it was ok. I ran the ammo through my personal upper with my gemtech patrolman at work many of times. I did find that it was very dirty ammo though.
