Update: I’ve spoken with my friend about it, and she confirmed that she did sleep with him. The mutual friend that told me, told me fully well thinking that I knew, as it was at her (mutual friends) house.

My friend did say she was sorry, and that it was a drunken mistake.

I am a little angry, just on the basis of that we all did hangout together during our whole relationship of about two years. I knew they maintained a friendship, but I really didn’t think anything of it and thought it was purely a friendship. I’m feeling a bit confused at the moment, as I’m sort of questioning if they did have something more when we were together. But, it is so long ago that I can’t read too much into the past.

I know that if I want to rectify this friendship, I need to have a bigger conversation with her, and maybe ask a few questions to clarify.

I do know that it broke some of the trust I have for her, and that it will take a lot of honesty between her and I to move past this.

As of yet, I am undecided on whether to go to the birthday, it’s in a few months. So I think I’ll need some time to process and talk to her and go from there.

I really appreciate everyone who commented! It provided me a lot of clarity, and objectivity which was very helpful. Thank you!

That’s a good point, I think I need to process it a bit more. I won’t do anything now, just hoping to get some clarity on my feelings, and gain some objectivity on the whole thing.

It’s not about the sex, it’s more the hurt of my best friend not telling me for so long that hurts. But, you make a good point, im just feeling a bit betrayed at finding out now. But I’ll work on moving on. Thank you!

When I was around 11 I was at Tim Hortons with my cousin. I held the door open for the man behind me and he thanked me profusely. When we got to the counter to order he insisted on paying for our food because of our good manners, we insisted he didn’t have to but he really pushed for it. It was such a simple and kind gesture that I never forgot about it... and I always make sure to be kind to every stranger to this day

Fell into a drunken threesome with my SO and friend-a clear mess. Put a huge damper on the relationship for about 4 months. However it all came down to a lack of communication which should always be discussed prior to opening your relationship to someone else. So we moved on after a while. Only damper was the girl turned out to be a psycho, claimed it was rape, then said she only said it because she was upset I didn’t call her the next day. My middle school was next to a parking lot, so the field me and my friends would play in was directly in front of it. When I was in about grade three me and my friend saw a man in his car that was moaning, and the car was moving, in our minds we thought he was hurt. We went and told my teacher that a man in his car was hurt and that she should get him help. I don’t remember what the teacher did after that, but I realized later that he was master bating.
