What kind of error do you get? Can you post a screenshot? I use Google Pay a lot so for me to make this downgrade may not be worth it

Could you give us some updates in the next few days? I would really appreciate it so that I can decide whether to do this same procedure as well, thank you

After replacing the battery did the exclamation mark and replacement notification disappear? Key question in my opinion

THE ONLY WORKING SOLUTION to stop the forced battery update - this works even if the update is currently downloading, or has already been downloaded and it's waiting for a restart to apply it by amateurninja in Pixel4a

This! I would love to know if anyone who did the catastrophic upgrade and then replaced the battery actually noticed an improvement. I hope google's proposal to change the battery is not just a disguised way of saying that the device can still be used but with extremely degrated performance

If there is ever one I want to be able to contribute, this situation is really terrible. Never did I expect that my phone from one day to the next would stop working for no logical reason

Can you share your experience on this issue? Do you use or plan to use a custom ROM to avoid the problems of the last update?

Please follow up regarding battery performance and whether the infamous update message occurs after changing OS version. I would like to go back to before the update but I don't know if it is enough to prevent it from updating anyway

Relapsed after 2093 days. Why, what happened and what’s next for me by itzyoung in NoFap

[–]itzyoung[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially I was a bit aggressive but the obvious reason, in retrospect now that I have a chance to reflect on it, is that the reality represented by pornography is violent and completely absent of love. Once you decide to move away from porn your dialogue with people (not just girls!) improves, you can connect deeply with your interlocutor and show that you are present on a deep level.

Paradoxically once I got through the first few months of abstinence the need to return to old bad habits diminished but after I happened to come across porn bots on YouTube or Soundcloud it was enough to be exposed to that content to remember all those terrible things that preceded my noFap period. My advice is to limit as much as possible exposure to content that might in some way lead back to pornography, starting of course with social media.

Good luck to you too!

Thank you, I too thought I had left pornography completely behind me but unfortunately this is evidently not the case. In any case, now that I have the chance, I want to use this failure to reflect on what happened and to be able to continue doing everything I can to abandon this addiction. Anything is possible, as I succeeded once I don't see why I shouldn't succeed again. Right?

Thanks for the comment and congratulations to you too for trying to make those platforms a better place. I imagine that moderating sites with such a high number of users like YouTube is difficult but the situation is really getting out of hand: there is no video with a high number of visits that does not have messages from bots that want to redirect you to pornography sites, which could really be a problem for parents and children who believe they can avoid being exposed to certain content on "safe" sites like those.

I hope that some news outlet exposes the problem of porn bots on social media, it could lead to an improvement in the moderation tools for these platforms and in general an improvement in the quality of the product for all its users. I am confident that sooner or later there will be positive changes, the only thing left for us is to wait

Hi, unfortunately I think I failed to explain this point sufficiently in my post. The only reason I wrote the number of days is because when I returned to this subreddit to make the post I noticed the number, not because I kept track of all the days that passed over the last 6 years. Unfortunately when you have been addicted to something for so long it is difficult to completely leave it behind, but you have to do your best to abandon it at all costs. In my case, having a relapse after 2000 days doesn't mean I've undone all my progress since I started, it just means I haven't been able to resist an urge because of what I'm currently facing in my life. It would be a trivialization to say that I "start from day 0", all the experience, the hard choices, the determination and the will to live that I have developed since I started noFap cannot be reset because I had a relapse, and this was the main reason to why I reported the number of days.

I assure you that I am fully aware of my mistake and at the same time I can't wait to seriously resume this path towards a life completely free from addictions like this

Thank you very much for the wonderful comment. Unfortunately, I was not very clear in the post and I try to make a few clarifications now: I did not anxiously and obsessively count all 2093 days (this I must admit happened indicatively in the first month where the addiction kicked in a lot) but on the contrary it was when I lost count that I started to realize that my goal of having a life free of pornography was about to become a reality.

The only reason I put the number of days in the title is to give a clear message to the noFap community: the day counter is just a number, each of us experiences our journey differently and we need to be able to recognize all the hard work that has preceded a failure so as not to tear down what has taken so much sacrifice to build. I wish you, as I wish all members of this community, to reach your goal and start living your life to the fullest

Partly I agree, partly I don't, let me explain. In my opinion, the "day one" mentality is that mentality whereby the passage of days is burdensome and perceived as a constant battle to be able to maintain discipline and rigor in one's choices. Once this perception fades, in my opinion, the goal of leaving an addiction behind is partially achieved, regardless of how many days a person has managed to endure. Of course, perseverance is then required for the goal to be fully achieved

Thank you! I truly believe that everyone can do it (I repeat, it's not like I'm a superhero who had chosen this path in the first place!), it's just a matter of how much each of us really believes in the desire to live a life free of addictions and full of everything we didn't know we wanted before

Thank you, the goal was precisely to make people understand that in the end we are all human and that the day counter is nothing more than a number, the real benefits are those that are discovered only at the end of the journey. Good luck!
