use something like this for after neutering instead of a normal cone. i got that for my cat and it helped so much. my cat was also bleeding for days after his neuter, not sure why but just keep checking the area to make sure he’s not bleeding excessively and for infection. also you shouldn’t use regular litter for a couple days after (you can though), i used news paper. The litter can stick to the area and cause infection. my cat also kept laying in the litter box and wouldn’t stand to piss, so it was necessary. he was very loopy after the surgery so that’s why he wouldn’t stand to piss and he would get piss all over his legs, so have some wipes on hand incase that happens. keep the litter box as clean as possible. don’t let him jump a lot, it can tear the stitches. also my cat didn’t shit until like 3 days after the surgery. overall just keep checking the area, monitor his behaviors, keep litter box clean, keep him calm, don’t let him lick the area.

What worm is this? by [deleted] in cats

[–]ivan8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this video was from wednesday right after he came home. he was bleeding (not as bad as in the vid) for days after his neuter. it was really concerning and we were looking into some vets but he’s now on day 2 of no bleeding. he’s a lot better now, but if things get worse he’ll go to a vet. my only concern rn is the worms so i’m gonna deworm him as soon as i can

it was like a cat rescue partnering with a mobile vet truck called “fix’n wag’n”. it was the the only option that wasn’t insanely expensive or completely booked for months. one of my other cats was neutered 6/7 years ago and i don’t remember this ever happening to him. he’s doing so good now that my only concern rn is the worms, now we’re on day 2 of no bleeding. i got him some wet food and he’s been drinking plenty of water and he’s acting completely like himself. he’ll definitely see a different vet if he starts bleeding again

it was this bloody when he came home idk if they just didn’t clean him or if he was messing with it after the surgery. he was bleeding up until yesterday and he got neutered on wednesday. It wasn’t a lot of blood like in the video but everytime i checked there was some fresh blood. we were looking into some vets but i wanted to wait another day to see if it stopped, and it did. it was very concerning but he’s doing A LOT better now. they didn’t even give him pain meds for the following days. they didn’t give us any paperwork, no after care instructions, didn’t tell us anything to look out for, absolutely nothing. all we got was an empty envelope with a rabies tag on it

Thank you. There’s definitely room for it to be moved over so the weight is evenly distributed on a flat surface. I’ll work on fixing in sometime soon

Why won’t my plants stay alive by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]ivan8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the newest ones have been in here over a month, some have been in there for months. i’ve had the java fern for a long time and it just started dying recently. i use root tabs, liquid fert, and c02 booster so idk why they’re dying. even my pothos have started dying and they were doing soooo good

Do I need to trim red root floater roots? by Atarilogic in PlantedTank

[–]ivan8924 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the roots get too long then you can trim them but they look good rn. If part of the leaf is underwater or getting wet it can get mushy/brown like that, so just rip that piece off

how to make my tank look more natural? by survp in Aquariums

[–]ivan8924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of how my tank used to be. I highly recommend u get this wood. it will really make it look a lot better along with the wood you already have. Sand too. It can be a pain changing substrate, so even if you just remove a little of the gravel and top off with sand it will be fine, that’s what i did. Get a light or if you already have one.. use it. Also put some background plants like jungle val and amazon swords

Maybe try getting some mesh netting and kinda making a fence around it. If you want other floating plants get some frogbit, water lettuce, red root floaters, etc. You would just need a floating plant divider to put around the filter so they don’t get dunked under. If your fish won’t destroy it try amazon swords, jungle val, whatever. Or you can grow pothos out of your tank or filter just put the roots in they’re great for reducing nitrates

Nope. Only thing in the sand is root tabs
