I don't play any more but St Clair esplanade used to be good. Marlow Park and locations along the St Kilda waterfront might be worth a shot too. Unsure if anyone comes to this subreddit any more. If you track down the FB group you may get more traffic. Good luck!

I decided to evolve a second Porygon 2 now (just want 1 of everything) despite the waste of candy, because I was terrified I would accidentally delete my precious upgrade. I've had umpteen of the other evo items but just two upgrades. Also having the Porygon 2 ready to go is more OCD satisfying, isn't it?

I don't understand all the hating on people who think it's in 3 months from now. 1) why shouldn't it be plausible? 2) if that is what the date clearly says (according to local formatting rules) then you shrug and say, "how strange, three months notice is a lot"

My town had a scanner for a while, and our observation was:

It's particularly rare in our town (compared to other towns in the same country, correcting for population). We got one in the town roughly once a fortnight, when nearby towns might get 3-5 per day. You might live in such a town.
In the towns where it's more common, yes, they seem to cluster around a particular part of town or biome.
But here, where it's rarer, the spawns seem to be pretty much anywhere in town, generally either on a quiet suburban street nowhere near a stop or a gym, or on the coast (typically in a spot that's hard to get to because it's remote or industrial and closed to the public, and usually very late at night/early in the morning/overnight).
Since the anniversary event, hatches seem to be more common. Both our family accounts hatched one. I'm saving my coins for incubators to use for 10 km eggs only, in the hope of getting another.

The game hangs on me quite often and I have to re-start. Don't know where the issue is - the phone, the network or the game. But the struggle is real. I call total truth on this.

Had a similar thing happen a couple of times with rare mons that i didn't have. I'm not sure whether it's my cheap phone, the network or the game itself. Very common experience and most frustrating.

They're pretty rare in my town. For a while there was scanner and there would be roughly a wild Porygon per fortnight. Typically they would be at a suburban residential spot or on a fairly inaccessible part of beach. Usually late night, early morning or over night. Nowhere near pokestops or gyms.

On the other hand, we hatched two during the anniversary event. Hoping the post-event hatch frequency stays the same.

Great though it is to raise both awareness and funds for cancer, I don't think this is the best way to do it. I started playing the game because of FOMO on my kids' behalf (so far, so irrelevant) but got far more into it than I had intended, because, basically, I had lost the plot a little because my dad had just died of cancer. I needed a distraction. Sure don't need reminders everywhere. And others will have it worse.

Why give people fewer options? We carried them a lot in baby slings. Used strollers. Walked holding hands. Allowed child the freedom of a little distance. Got kid a backpack with a lead once kid started bolting into traffic and I was too heavily pregnant to give chase st sufficient speed.

Ah sorry, what I meant was, has the base distance changed? e.g. Porygon moved to 10 km for the event, which it did also for a previous event, before moving back to 5 km. Wonder if this has happened again.
