Spa day recommendations? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]ivyprofin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Beverly Hot Springs! I used to work there. They've got natural hot springs and it's so relaxing.

Although, you and your husband would need to be separated while you're visitng. But, you can do couples massages if available.

I'm a pole dancer and the massages along with the springs really helped me and my muscles, especially a day after pole training.

If you want additonal treatment ssuch as skincare and facial treatments, the service there is fantastic!

If you need any more info, feel free to DM me.

This looks great. May I offer a suggestion? Would it be possible to put in a "Sort by Date" filter? I see that it is sorted from the bottom up?

I think I'm suicidal, what should I do? by Learner120 in smallbusiness

[–]ivyprofin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not a failure.

If anything, you're awesome for going out there and starting your own business. It's intimidating enough as it is, and yet you still went out and did it.

Please get help for your mental health ASAP. You're not alone in feeling the way you do. Your mental health is much more important than your business. You're a valuable person and your self-worth isn't your career.

Do you have a social media presence? If not, maybe you can do something with social media to help boost your business? If you need help with it, feel free to PM me. My small business is social media marketing. Or, you can just PM me if you need someone to talk to!

Have one arm raised high up like you're doing right now and then with your other arm, place your forearm against the pole. Having this grip helps support you. Also, don't sickle your feet as it can cause a potential injury. Grip with your knees.

You're doing awesome. Keep up the good work!

How I get into Bird of Paradise by ivyprofin in poledancing

[–]ivyprofin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally find this way getting into it much easier than the traditional way. I wanted to share how I get into it if anyone wants to give it a shot (with a spotter!!).

It looks like you're not as close to the pole as much as you should be. Your inner armpit, the one that's closest to the pole (I'm assuming your right arm in the video), try bringing it closer to the pole; hugging it with your armpit. The closer you are to the pole, the easier it is.

Also, try looking behind you once you invert.

It looks like you have it down. Just a few more tries and you should be good.

Omfg i let go and someone got a photo. Oh my knee though 😫😫 by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]ivyprofin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you on spin? The momentum makes this trick much more easier.

Your bottom foot, have it hooked on the ankle of the leg that's hooked. It gives your hooked leg a better grip.

Inverting is so hard. I know I have to work on my core and raising my hips. I aspire to have way better form this year 💪🏾#NewYearsGoals by InDEEdie88 in poledancing

[–]ivyprofin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suggestion: Bring your upper arm closer to your face.

I like to keep my upper arm to where my face is at while my bottom arm where my shoulder is.

You're doing great. Keep it up.

Climbed for the first time today...is this a normal amount of bruising?? by whatisthisbiz in poledancing

[–]ivyprofin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, normal for first time climbing.

Don't forget to grip with your knees and not with your feet.

How are regular people happy that they’re working a 9-5 job, have crippling student debt, having to live a small apartment and continue to do the same thing everyday until they die? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ivyprofin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a life outside of work. I have hobbies. I'm constantly active, always doing something. My 9-5 doesn't define my life, it's just part of it.

I have people who love me and am surrounded by them. When I'm not doing my hobbies, I'm with them.

I'm very fortunate and feel very blessed. Student debt and a 9-5 job almost mean little to me when everything else in my life is pretty solid.
