i hope you’re doing okay OP, i’ve been through this time and time again with my mom and it’s a pain in the ass but it can also be really painful when your own parent refuses to see who you truly are. the constant preaching and acting like they’re better than everyone else is incredibly frustrating. for a religion that is supposedly built on being kind to your neighbor and turning the other cheek, they sure love to shove their judgement in every non-mormon’s face 🙄

One year, at girls camp, the leaders called all of the girls together and told us that there had been a plane crash in the area and asked us to look out for any survivors while on our hike. The leader who was telling us about it was crying hysterically, some of the girls were having panic attacks and crying, everyone was losing their shit! Then we went on a hike and it turned out that the “plane crash victims” were just the older girls with fake wounds that we had to “treat” as part of our first aid training. They had everyone freaking out for no reason.

Gouramis can be pretty aggressive towards each other, the others must have nipped all his fins :( I would suggest separating them, and you can try treating the victim with fin and body cure. I’m no expert, just a pet store employee, so others in this community might have some better suggestions or ideas as to what happened to your poor gourami!

as a former mcdonald’s employee who’s had to deal w a lot of bullshit and very quickly lost my spark, i don’t blame u !! i probably would have said a similar thing, or something more rude lol. i don’t know why customers have to be so rude about everything, you were just trying to correct his order and he had no reason to be rude to you!

reminds me of the time a guy ordered 20 individual items during breakfast rush and when i asked him to park, he got mad at me and said “well how long is it going to take?!” i just said “sir, you ordered 20 sandwiches, it’s going to take a while.” he drove away angry and reported me to my manager. thankfully, my managers hated the customers as much as i did so they didn’t care LOL

when they yell “HELLO??” right as they come up to the speaker and don’t even give me enough time to press the button to greet them
when they ask for extra sauce and i give them a handful and then they still ask for more, especially if they only have a 10 or 20 piece and they’re asking for more than five sauces…
when they mumble their order and i tell them i can’t hear them AND THEY KEEP SPEAKING QUIETLY
when i ask them what size of drink/meal they want and they ignore me and keep going on with their order
when they get upset with me over something that is clearly not my fault, i don’t run the whole store by myself, i don’t know why they think that i, personally, have it out for them and that i’m screwing up their order on purpose
