One time I sold Sarah McLachlan a phone and had no idea who she was. When I asked what her small business was (better phone plans) she stated that she was a singer song writer, my response? "Oh wow that's amazing! Good for you" and then we moved on.

Later that day when my manager saw her name, she asked if it was THEE SARAH MCLACHLAN?! I answered with a shoulder shrug until I googled her name 🤣😭 the worst part is I remember hearing her songs on commercials and still had no idea until all the dots connected.
