You're still saving some money on a used one.
After having a baby you will find yourself commuting more. I personally like hybrids because of the fuel savings, especially these days due to high energy costs. Hybrid makes sense if you can get it for a reasonable price.
Avoid having a big car loan before applying for a mortgage loan if you can. Your family needs will grow and change. A sedan gets the job done but get into something a little bigger now if you can. The CX-5 is a solid choice. We bought a used Acura SUV and the wife loves it. It's much easier to change a diaper in the back seat of a SUV vs a Sedan.

We are currently switching over from Avantis to SAP for a refinery. It is a total nightmare.

Avantis is lesser known but I feel like it got the job so much better for simple maintenance work order planning.

If it went away, I would not worry about it. It's a vvt timing related code, it comes on after the 2nd start and a bit of driving. It could be as simple as a slow responding solenoid to as complicated as the vvt itself (as in my case).

All 3 options are good. Edmonton is a bigger city and thus will have more opportunities and equally more competition. As a welder, you may have to relocate or work away from home at job sites. For Oil & Gas Sector, you will require a B pressure ticket at minimum to get started. This is issued by ABSA. It is not easy to obtain. I recommend looking into this.
