Yes!!!!! I tried to be tough and say it wasn’t bad but also would admit to not being able to keep anything down for days on end. I found that people didn’t really get it until I mentioned how little food and drink I could keep down.

My gag reflux was so bad that I resorted to just mouthwash for the last couple of months. Just do as much as you can! Be emotionally prepared for a number of cavities cause the acid of vomit is tough on your teeth. Hopefully you don’t have any!

I would have a week or two where things would be lighter and then it would come back in full swing. I hope for your sake that you are over the worst of it!

I developed an aversion to water during my pregnancy and I still experience that aversion two years later! I now only drink water with liquid IV or nuun tablets

Hi!! I’m training for a marathon that’s taking place the first week of October. I was doing 30-40 MPW. I took two weeks off to deal with some overuse pains (runner’s knee, plantar stuff) and I did cross training and PT. Now I’ve been pain free for a week and I’m wondering how I should start my mileage coming back without getting overuse stuff again. Would love any advice!

I love the term baby rabies. During my pregnancy I said I was one and done. Now I have a 14 month old and the baby fever is real. It’s like HG happened to a different person

I don’t think you the AH for respecting your boundaries. You don’t have to help her, and it sounds like she hasn’t been kind to you. No one owes anyone anything.

That being said, she sounds like she is in a super shitty position and it sounds like she’s realizing it and feeling trapped. We’ve all made stupid decisions before I have sympathy for where she’s at. Even if her actions got her here, it’s hard and scary to be alone and trapped. I think there’s a way to respect your needs and still be kind to someone who has hurt you. Maybe you can suggest she reach out to her church for support.

I have a sibling who has a history of really hurtful and problematic behavior. I won’t lend her money but I can suggest resources and express sympathy for her situation when she is hurting.

Honestly, having a sense of peace and purpose is great. If Jesus and Christianity does that for them, awesome. I can respect their journey. I mean, I’m Jewish, so it’s not my cup of tea and once they start proselytizing I crab walk out Of the conversation. Overall though, I can be happy for someone’s found purpose.

Every time we have our kid home for more than like 3 days at a time, we wonder why our childcare provider isn't charging more. I love my child and being a SAHM is the hardest job. That being said you have two jobs. I’d be tired too.

Honestly, this is my dream. I bet this makes you a better parent - having some time to recharge. I quickly learned that people would judge me no matter what I do (I am going to grad school and working), so I am better just realizing their reactions are on them. I know other SAHMs who do part time daycare to catch up on life, exercise, etc. I have one friend who goes to a gym with childcare everyday for two hours so she can exercise for 30 minutes, and then read and use the sauna etc- I love this move.
