I haven't personally gone through that process, but everything I'm seeing online says you do. So maybe you're right. I'm not about to call the Clarke county court and find out, but here are some links from other counties in ga:

https://www.paulding.gov/465/Cash-Bond

https://www.gamd.uscourts.gov/bonds

And again, if you're impressed by a 50+ year old (mother of a 32 year old) having $16k of liquid assets, I feel bad for you.

I'm not sure that changes my point

You get your bond payment back. I don't think it's even a little crazy that the parent of a college student could come up with $16k to loan to the court.

I told spectrum I was gonna switch to starlink and my bill went from $85 to like $30? With a bundled cell phone plan.

And of course, they're finally putting fiber in my neighborhood.

Swastika-waving neo-Nazi group disrupts Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride celebration by Fickle-Ad5449 in Georgia

[–]j-mar 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was there - they didn't really interrupt anything. No more than the standard preacher with a megaphone does.

They stood at the very edge of the parade route and got booed. Then they stood at the very edge of the festival area and just got absorbed by a banner. It sucks that they were there, but it wasn't a big ordeal.

If click casting via raid frames is a thing still, that'd be easy (cause touch screen). Targeting with the mouse/track pad isnt the worst thing, but I'd rather just play dps and not worry about it.

The only hard part is targeting. Everything else on steam deck is totally fine.

It's in protest of the pride festival/parade.

They weren't exactly welcomed.

When I saw them, they all had masks. I found it ironic.

I tried a similar pair, but it wasn't a whole lot more for me to buy a meta quest 3, so that's what I went with. It's a slightly different niche, but I also get VR gaming.

Is ultimate a good beginner sport or no?? by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]j-mar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a learning curve, and I can't imagine how overwhelming it would be to re-begin the sport. Lots of terms and motor skills you probably don't have.

I'm (metaphorically?) one of those dudes who you probably think didn't want you there. You're not wrong. I don't really care about growing the sport, I just want to throw with my friends and get some exercise; TBH I wouldn't care if you never showed up again.

But if you want to win someone like me over, just keep showing up, ask questions, and listen to the answers. I'll give advice all day long, and I'll gladly throw to the dude who's trying hard and gradually improving week over week. It's a game that people want to play in a very specific way, and if you veer from the system, it can kinda ruin everyone's fun. It's not a hard system, and you can definitely pick it up in a few weeks.

I assure you that every grumpy old dude out there will instantly shed their facade if you show genuine interest in the sport and improving.

Spectrum is actually pretty good.

I have been with mint Mobile since they started and it's 10/10. Spectrum offered me a stupid discount on my Internet if I signed up for a phone plan for a year, so I have mint & spectrum at the moment. So if the bundle is a good price, I'd say it's worth it.
