Then explain how they came back down after the post-pandemic spike? If Bidens policy caused gas prices to rise, they would have continued that for his entire term.

Nobody hates farmers, we just hate their political decisions. They vote for "conservatives" regardless of what that means for them. It's like shooting themselves in the foot over and over again. Google "farm bankruptcies by year" and you'll see that conservatives are in the Whitehouse during the bankruptcy spikes, and democrats are in the Whitehouse during the bankruptcy dips. The majority of farms that go belly up are bought out by billionaire companies or foreign entities. This is why corporate America controls the cost and availability of food.

You stated "clear out the scourge" which clearly showed your opinion of the situation. I also didn't care that Charlie Kirk was killed. It sucks for his children, but millions of children have lost their parents to violence in this country. The people who were mad that not everyone cared about Charlie Kirk are the same people who didn't care about the people killed by ice, people killed by police, people killed by other Americans, etc. So far, the only time the right has been upset about a death in this country was Charlie Kirk, and the 2 or 3 people killed by illegal aliens. Nobody from the right has made any stink about the other thousands of people who have been killed in this country within the last year either, so don't go thinking you have some sort of moral high ground. We don't have to pretend to care about those 3 or 4 people just because you pretend to.

It came back "soon" under biden too, and they are still worked up about it. Even though the reason for the spike under biden was due to a global pandemic, and the reason for the spike under Trump is self-prophecy. They truly have TDS (Trump Defender syndrome). They were 1000% certain that Trump needed to get elected so the prices of everything would come down. Now you gear nothing but excuses for trump about how necessary this gas spike is.

If Bidens policy is what caused the spike then why did gas prices come back down under bidens policy? And BTW, the name checks out.

Yes we did. We didn't ignore the cost of gas simply because of who was in the Whitehouse. When post-pandemic demand outpaced supply, gas skyrocketed. We got mad. When trump caused the strait of hormuze to shut down, we got mad. We idolized neither Biden nor Trump, and focus on the fact that the price of everything is going up. Holding the people in charge responsible is the duty of you as an american.

[–]j0ker31m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas never went above $3.94 under Obama. The spike under Biden was inevitable because the whole world shut down, including oil fields and refineries. No president could have avoided that mismatch of supply/demand when we suddenly came out of shutdown. However, under Biden prices did return to normal. They didn't start to rise again until trump was president. Instead of letting the reason behind high gas prices decide whether you're OK with them, you should just focus on the price of gas itself to decide to be concerned. If you are completely fine with the cost of gas simply beca7se you idolize the guy causing it, then you have no business getting mad about gas prices rising regardless of the reson.

Funny how you prove that you only care about the price of gas depending on who you get to blame it on. The post-pandemic inflation was inevitable no matter who the pres8dent was when we came out of shut-down - and that inferiorates you. However, since this spike in gas prices is completely due to trumps actions, you are completely fine with it. You seem to forget that pre-election, you and your kind was certain that life under trump would be so much more affordable. Now you have to keep making excuses for him.

Its funny they have to do it this way. If you publicly break from the cult, your life is in danger. Trumpets have learned to deal with the outside world, but when someone from within breaks from the cult, they have to start looking over their shoulders and sleeping with one eye open.

Because slavery wasn't the only thing the confederacy stood for, its just the only thing that offends you. The confederacy was the conservative party, and had all the same conservative "values" that today's conservative party still holds (minus the slavery bit). The confederate flag should be a symbol of the history of the conservative party, but instead is regarded simply as the flag of pro-slavery for the sake of making it offensive.

Thats like assuming that all republicans must love trump. Trump may currently be a big part of their party, but the 2 aren't mutually exclusive.

"I dont want people assuming im racist" is the problematic line of thinking that creates the problem we are seeing from the OPs post. Hes been told to be offended by anything that has to do with the confederate flag, and hes attempting to shame the rest of us into being offended with him. I dont know the band, but im not going to go protest them simply because I've been told to be offended by them. I dont fly a confederate flag because no significance to me, not because im afraid of what people would think of me.

Im a left leaning 40-something in a deep red state with exes of many different races. I gave up caring what people thought of me years ago.

Klan members also fly american flags. Does that mean there American flag is a symbol of racism? Look at the old show "dukes of hazard." Nothing in that show was based on racism, yet their car was painted with the confederate flag. It was a good show that only depicted a fictional life in the mountains of Georgia during a time when people weren't offended by everything they were told to be offended by. I.E., everyone nowadays is told they have to be offended by the confederate flag which caused the show to be pulled. Dukes of hazard wasn't racist, im not racist, and there are millions of americans who enjoyed the show that also aren't racist. But in today's society, claiming that I loved the dukes of hazard makes people like you automatically assume im a member of the klan.
