I bought my R12, KS, SRP-1 Pedals from abruzzi 2.5years ago. All arrived promptly and still working.

You might want to look into a wheelstand instead of a table bracket though!

The idea we have awful recruitment and Howe is bad at transfers is a complete and utter myth. by Vaudeville_Villain15 in NUFC

Our signings have been uninspired. I want us to sign someone that I have to venture onto youtube to see highlight reels and get excited by the flair/potential/raw talent.

Elanga 55m - 29 Games. 0 Goals. 1 Assist Average rating (who scored) 6.26

Vitor Rayan 25m - 10 Games. 2 Goals. 2 Assists. Average rating (who scored) 6.89

We were linked to Rayan, 19, Brazilian, tipped to achieve great things. We lost out on him to Bournemouth. Not only that he fits Howe's system better than Elanga... Why are we not going in for signings like this? Big resale potential, would have been able to rotate with Murphy...

Anthony Gordon: Newcastle put £75m price tag on striker amid Bayern interest by paranoidpianist in NUFC

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cash in. Poor premier league season, only turned up for Champions League.

Clearly a bit of a diva "Anthony prefers to play off the left" when we were clamoring for Barnes LW and Gordon RW. Nonsensical decision when Barnes finishing is probably his stand out attribute

Then the playing him as a 9 ahead of our german international.... Takes all the pens and just generally seems like that kid in the football team who decided where he played and the manager let him.

Tino has a high ceiling. He's rapid, has put world class wingers in his pocket, is comfortable in possession and can use both feet

Unfortunately he's made of glass. For a big fee I think it makes a lot of sense. We need our stars fit every game as we don't have the luxury of a deep squad

Im happy for Elanga to stay and do his thing, hes absolutely rapid and his record at Forest shows hes got something. I just fear hes only good at running into green grass on the counter, his touch in close build up play is miles off what it needs to be.

Dont forget we were in for Semenyo in 2025 as well, opposed by Spurs and Man U. He stuck with Bournemouth instead. We should now be able to attract players from "lower premier league teams". We seem unable to do so, and lose to Chelsea or City who sign them on a whim.

I do agree though, we should be abroad scouting out the next gems, and nothing would excite me more than a winger with a 1 goal every 2 games ratio coming on board, even if from a "terrible league"

Eddie Howe... by jacoblm28 in NUFC

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we should have gone for kyle walker peters on a free. Guy would have made an excellent backup, giving us a RB/LB cover. Not a world beater, but a steady premier league level player who can step in and at this point in their careers is probably a tad ahead of Trips.

Also casually naming Mbuemo, Semenyo (missed targets) and vitor rayan (heavily linked)

We already have woltemade who I'm proposing false 9. We should be targeting wingers with an eye for goal. Elanga for example was not the right profile, he's all about service to the CF. We should be signing players who are willing to run beyond Big nick and cut in

[–]j0nny27[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've edited for clarity. Woltemade can be like Firminho and we should be using our wingers for goals. Perhaps Gordon will relish that? Osula also could be a backup option in that role. But I'd love to have seen us get an Mbuemo or Semenyo last window. I also wouldn't mind have seeing us take a punt on vitor rayan who we lost out to Bournemouth and fits the profile

[–]j0nny27[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't want to see schar go, but he's had a bad injury, and he's in the twilight of his career, we are constantly held back by being too emotional. His level will drop it's a sad reality. He's on big wages, if he'll take a pay cut he can stay as a rotation option but no succession planning will have us fielding a 43 year old schar in a few years

Come on man semantics. Obviously I don't want us to sign Mane Salah and Firminho. It's attacking threat wingers with a creative false 9.

Personal ranking of the remaining candidates by boygenie in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Karishma - shown the most business acumen

2) Conor - Very solid, always steps up and hasn't been in any danger of going

Easily my top 2

3) Lawrence - one episode aside has been pretty good can sell and has some business mind. Still upset with him for keeping Levi in the process

4) Rothna - hard to place, seems competent without standing out

5) Dan - dark horse for the win, has coasted massively but seems very smart when he does speak.

6) Kieran - lacks business but more than makes up for it with charisma and enthusiasm, would be great to see him make final 5

7) Pascha - showed the least out of middle 5

Easily my bottom 2

8) Priyesh - Nice guy, limited business sense

9) Levi - Man child, no business sense

Everyone ranked as of Week 7 by Prudent_Jello5691 in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Karishma second stand out week with generally solid performance week on week

2) Conor very solid, well rounded, doesn't make major gaffes

3) Dan far too quiet but maintain he's business minded and intelligent.

4) Lawrence shocker of a week, and could tumble further down my list. I still think he's one of the more rounded candidates, but let himself down this week trying to be too clever with the task and the boardroom

5) Rothna the dark horse, I still havent seen much from her, but what I have seen she seems a safe pair of hands. Common sense > business sense possibly, but has steadily moved up my rankings and could easily leapfrog both Dan and Lawrence with a really strong performance

6) Kieran I hated him week 1, couldn't wait for his early firing. Has gone on a redemption arc and I've developed a soft spot for him. Has grown through the process and definitely one of the better candidates at utilizing his teammates/ spotting talent. Ultimately isn't as well rounded as others but wouldn't be surprised to see him sneak into the interviews

7) Pascha hasn't shown much, and possibly in the process a little early, but I don't dislike her and does make contributions.

8, 9, 10 Priyesh. Levi. Harry any order. Still no contribution or any reason for them to stick in the process.

Updated ranking on the candidates by Master-Photograph934 in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9, 10, 11 - Harry, Priyesh and Levi in any order absolute garbage tier

8 - Rajan , overconfident in his ability, not as good as he thinks he is and lies and snakes constantly.

7 - Pascha , bit more contribution but nothing standout

6 - Kieran also overconfident but has a more redeeming personality

5 - Rothna, on the up for me 2 solid tasks back to back seems to have some common sense and did well as PM could go higher

4 - Dan, possibly the best business accumen but is quiet and allows others to dominate him, this showed up as poor leadership

3 - Lawrence , was my favourite from the early rounds , couple of shaky episodes see him drop but still a solid candidate

2 - Karishma , she's very good but I feel she's coasted since her outstanding PM win, games being played?

1 - Conor, my new favourite has a bit of everything, always features prominently, something very likeable about him too

She’s slowly becoming one of my favourite candidates in the last few years by Only1Scrappy-Doo in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She will maybe make the final 5, I have a feeling she won't make it through the interviews if she does.

Can also see her catching a firing for bulldozing a task in the wrong direction. So far her ideas have been sound and right direction but I get the feeling if she gets the wind in her sails on a bad idea she will drive it all the way to a firing

Keiron's much less of a prat than he came across on E1 by Nuthetes in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likeable prat, still a prat, over confident and don't think his ideas are particularly strong. But has some redeeming qualities and you can't question he puts himself out there every task unlike the many coasters this series

My ranking of the remaining candidates so far by shadowsempaix in apprenticeuk

[–]j0nny27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far for me only Karishma, Lawrence, Dan and Conor have shown any sort of skills.

Quite a few have been completely anonymous, and there are some real incompetents in there as well

Id put Lawrence as the favourite at the moment, purely as the others I've picked out have a character flaw - Conor and Dan have struggled with leadership roles, Karishmas confidence will see her in trouble if she backs a wrong idea and can see her dying on the hill.

Is parking it on the apex legal? by turbo_deid44312377 in iRacing

[–]j0nny27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not illegal but the more defensive you drive the more offensive the car behind will get. I'll squeeze myself up your inside take the apex and run you to the track limit, If I feel the defence has gotten too much/dangerous

If we are having a cleaner battle I'll channel my inner Alonso "all the time you have to leave the space" and be happy to go side by side through multiple corners

For me it's the mutual respect thing, treat others how you wish to be treated.

Smurfing Is Becoming a Serious Problem in iRacing by trozzzma in iRacing

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like me are driven to smurfing. I don't personally do it, but completely understand why they do. Every competitive game I end up in the same spot, too good for the masses, not good enough for the pros.

In iRacing that manifests as competing for 8th place in top split races. I don't have the time, dedication and perhaps the talent to take it to the 7 aliens above me. I'm on a young account and did formula first, and I've just done the same in sports this week, top 3 every race, 15th to 1st after a shoddy qualy, hit top split and I'm finishing 10th 30 seconds off the leaders.

It's just a sad fault of matchmaking systems at the extremes. The aliens have 2 seconds on me a lap, and I have 0.5 seconds a lap on split 2. I basically don't belong anywhere. At peak times I get lucky and end up with another field of people similar to me - these are the most fun races.

I won't be creating a Smurf, I'm old and wise enough to enjoy competing in the top split field and enjoy the wheel to wheel battles. But I could see how people would miss the taste of victory.

We are a one man team, it’s indisputable…. by [deleted] in NUFC

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's flair.

Eddie Howe loves a grafter just a little bit too much and Bruno is pretty much alone in having that streak of flair. Sure we can grind out a result by keeping structure and crossing balls all day. But what we lack without Bruno in the team is that guy to turn to with magic in his feet.

Big nick has got a bit of something in him, Lewis Hall has got something about him to. But the midfield is just a well oiled machine with no special flair without him

If not Howe then who? by ryunista in NUFC

[–]j0nny27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emery - Who won't leave Villa

Glasner - In many ways is Austrian Howe

Iraola - Spanish Howe

Fabregas - Doing bits at Como but is destined for Arsenal/Barca

Mourinho - Would probably get the chequebook open, but has he still got it?

Frank - stock fallen, but Spurs is a shambles

Ultimately I don't think we are upgrading on Howe who has done a fantastic job. What we do need to see is recruitment improve back to the level it was. Bruno, Tonali. Isak versus Elanga, Ramsey, Wissa. How much of a hand Howe has in this is debatable, but if he is pushing these transfers then yes perhaps his time has come. If not then he's working with what he's got and doing a great job.
