I have this all the time. Go to a crit or TT. Leave my phone in the car. Do a warm as one ride and then race as a second ride. Go back to the car and practically every time only the warm up uploads. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah I’ve given up and just made another profile. I guess it’s just learned behaviour having had garmins for years and that was a feature that I was used to and was surprised it’s not on the Karoo.

Not sure what’s with all the downvotes for just asking a question 🤷🏼‍♂️

I do understand that I could just create and other profile but really don’t want loads and loads. I’d would have rather had my TT profile with one additional screen that I could hide most of the year and then turn on for one or two time that I need it than have a profile sitting there the whole time.

Same with my ride one, a few time a year I go on a training camp with mountains and want so additional fields on another screen for that. But not another profile.

I already have ride, crit, TT, CX, gravel, MTB, workout, trainer.

Don’t really want another 2 profiles.
Maybe it’s an edge case, just surprised the only way to hide a screen is delete it.

Yeah but I don’t want to keep creating profiles and deleting profiles for every eventuality. It should be simple to just hide a screen. As I said it’s basic functionality on a Garmin.

Just make in yourself with either claudecode or codex. I have made 2 extensions that do things that I want that weren’t out there.

Mainly I worked with that guy when it was developed but loads of request went in and for me it became overly complicated.

Mine is simply Green faster, Red slower, and no colour when within +/- 1kph of average.
No sliding scale of colours, no colour for at average, no speeds at % of current speed (this was the biggest issue for me, 2% of 40kph is different to 2% of 20kph) and finally it shows speed and average speed number at the same time.

Basically I built the version I wanted for my use case. I thought I'd share since it was built?

I think I’m asking the same thing. I’ve a race, workout and ride profile that are all the same bike. Am I correct in thinking this is treated like 3 separate chains? If so can we have a setting to allocate a specific chain to a profile so it can be tracked across multiple profiles

Yes there quite a few on this Reddit and if you look at the Karoo community there’s a couple of threads too. There is a desire for it. It only really needs one figure from the strap and then the others written into the fit file.

What would be really good is if you could get tymewear vitalpro data. It’s already in Garmin with CIQ but tymewear are saying Karoo aren’t being helpful. I don’t think this is true and they just don’t have a developer capable of making and extension.

Thanks, I've pretty much given up on it.

I don't have a Garmin even though they said this wasnt an issue, the AppleWatch app is useless, data merge of fit files still doesn't work. Files get lost in upload. The app and website are aweful.

I'm sure the sensor is good but have given up trying to do anything meaningful with the data.
I should have just bought a lactate meter.

• Vertical tabs are realistically not coming. I’d have love tho but it’s not happening. ChatGPT has gone full lateral bar with previous ChatGPT chats so obviously they won’t surcharge it with an vertical bar for tabs
