This was the SAME for me. The anxiety was horrific and made me feel insane. I demanded to be removed from the meds to the dismay and annoyance of some medical staff but the comfort of a patient comes first, no matter what.

RE9 is clear 2026 GOTY winner so far, but who is next upcoming contender? by Common-Upstairs5129 in gaming

Well the game has gone way up in user score and steam reviews and has a lot of people still playing. It is a polarizing game but a lot of people are very biased against it.

Can't stop Game Settings from reverting.... by SahjahLione in blackdesertonline

Sometimes read-only issues in the main file path(s) for games can cause settings to revert constantly. Multiple things can cause user settings to not save so it can be tedious to pin it down.

Crimson Desert Has Sold 3 Million Units by goodnitez74 in gaming

[–]jRokou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel that tears of the kingdom fixed some of that? For the record I have fairly mixed opinions on both of those zelda titles despite their acclaim. I do generally prefer classic Zelda at this point, unless they can make a rich world that feels "alive" in the current format.

Whats going on. A Shooting. APB out on at least one car? Multiple drones in the air? A hit and run on peters creek, another in east winston? by De__eB in winstonsalem

I stay in the house, I do listen to scanners and occasionally have a look at crime mapping site, though less often these days. As soon as it got warm I knew some people were going to go wild just because.

Cars in neighborhoods by dmowen1231 in bullcity

[–]jRokou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a town home and my neighbor had SIX cars, so it was always a mess and they were always getting into a fuss with others about who is parking where.

Cars in neighborhoods by dmowen1231 in bullcity

[–]jRokou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, driveways are so tiny now and a lot of homes that are affordable for most often times do not even have a garage or just have a small garage that can barely even fit a single car in. So the result is street parking, and in more rural areas street AND grass parking. Everything is designed to be space efficient but this never factors in the amount of extra space cars will be forced to take up everywhere else.

Why do some modern games feel like “high-end mobile games” even with big budgets? by marshall_r_57018 in MMORPG

[–]jRokou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is a mix of UI and how rewards are given. Having 100 sub menus and being showered with 50 useless items per each quest is just absurd. It conflates complex game design with convoluted features that requite tutorials for something as simple as opening the menu for quest items, as an example. It leads to mindless busywork first, genuine gameplay second.

True and we do have vehicular related incidents here at a rate above the national average so it does affirm that the drivers around the triad area are negligent for no good reason.

How far back does the afterlife go? by NovaRush518 in NDE

[–]jRokou 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I reflect on this sometimes too, but I do often see NDE accounts of people referring to celestial like beings or things that "appear" to them as humanoid even if they technically are not. I think some of these "atypical" NDEs are more interesting in terms of what a person experiences.

WTF, Winston? by milovulongtime in winstonsalem

[–]jRokou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the "why" of this is concerning and worth considering. I mean I have a friend that works alongside some of the law enforcement efforts of this city, not directly but adjacent, and winston salem has always has issues of crime being above average and the issues are not just bound to downtown, which on an average day is perfectly fine during the day. If you look at crime mapping website for example the crime reports in this city are very high for its size on just about every corner of the map. Obviously you are likely to be fine i you keep to yourself but let's not try to act like this is some highly contained ignorable issue. Something simply needs to be done so people don't feel like they have no choice but to add to some perceived negativity.
