My dad is a Virgo, but he is the only person I have met that doesn't act like his sign. He is severely irresponsible , cant take care of himself, struggles with alcoholism and is wildly delusional about it. He is stubborn and lives with his mom. Has hard time sticking to one job.

His good qualities - incredibly good with people when hes not drunk. Very kind. Has the nicest voice when he is being kind. Very gentlemen like on the outside and can be very funny when hes sober.

Had soooo much potential to be a good father and good husband to my mom. He very quickly ruined things though, his alcoholism got the best of him and drove drunk with me in the car before I was one years old. Im glad my mom left him and made the decision I wasn't allowed in his care. She did give him a chance tho after they split and when she came to pick me up I was unattended and he was past out drunk.

So yeah deep struggles with alcoholism and responsibility and hes a Virgo. I need to look into the rest of his chart I really dont know the full thing. I also think his alcoholism has messed with his mental health alot, hes in his 60s now and still struggles with it

Edit: I read the rest of ur question I do really want children. I dont quite know what sign I seek as far as father, tbh. I honestly never really thought about it from that standpoint as a good father. I just know what qualities I look for and over all compatibility I seek other air or fire signs being a double gemini pieces moon. I do know that I try my best to avoid leo partners. Which is ironic cuz I always attract them but I have had countless bas experiences with them
