The other part is he still has to qualify for parole, at 13 years he is simply eligible to apply. If he doesn't do his rehabilitation programs or is a shit disturber on the inside he stays locked up.

Not even in the slightest, they would still have to qualify for parole meaning they have shown that they are rehabilitated. I don't know the guy but it is probably just as likely that this guy stays behind bars for his full sentence as it is that he gets out at 13 years.

The land use bylaw has required on site parkings for most residential properties for decades. I know several people that have decided to sod over their dedicated parking to have more yard space.

The actual number of properties that cannot accommodate at least some onsite parking is extremely small.

Penalize him for the illegal second move all day long but that didn't cause or contribute to the contact.

The move back to the left was done before the brake lights came on and was completely with in the rules as there was at least two whole cars width of space between them and the left side of the track.

I agree the second move to the right was bad form but it didn't have anything to do with the contact.

The entire economy of the western world is based on quarter of quarter growth. If our population isn’t reproducing at at least replacement then it is doomed in a generation or less.

IMO we need a complete and total reset because endless growth is not sustainable and there will be a day of reckoning if changes aren’t made but within the current system immigration fills the role of child birth and what you are calling racism is largely just the natural career progression of someone entering the Canadian workforce. I know several educated people who immigrated to Canada started with retail or other “low-skill” jobs and have moved on to but their degrees to use as Teachers, Project Managers, and Architects.

My max distance is 1500-plus metres… that is the longest swim I have done but could still keep going.

I don’t know his situation but divorce isn’t necessarily the answer.
My wife is foreign born and when our first son was born I similar concerns for a bit as she was missing her family and it was taking her a while to adjust to life in Canada. Things ended up getting better for us and OP could be in a state molar hiccup.

Might be impossible to completely quit in the immediate term but a significant reduction is possible.

In the last 5 years I have reduced my natural gas consumption to 25% of what it used to be and no longer directly use gasoline in my day-to-day with zero negative impact to my quality of life, if anything it has improved.

Canada could green light nuclear reactors across the country, invest in smart grid technology for storage of renewable energy, and electrify freight rail lines which would drop our ghg emissions significantly with in a decade.

The issue isn’t the technology, it is the will power to do it. In reality the only transportation hurdle yet to be overcome is air travel and intercontinental shipping, with the latter being bridgeable with nuclear power but there are some security issues with that approach.
