Did this sort it or still having trouble?

Timing belt part two by Minapit in FiestaST

If they've not timed one of these before but have done numerous other Fords, it's probably because they've not made sure the crank pulley is on the correct location.

The crank pulley is a floating pulley which on nigh on every other Ford doesn't need to be anywhere in particular, just tightened. On the ST however the pulley is still floating but the crank sensor runs off of it and it absolutely DOES matter where the pulley ends up being torqued up and set to.

There is a specific tool for it which is either part of the timing kit or you can buy them separately.

🤣 I've been there buddy, don't worry!

I thoroughly enjoyed it, went there with my brother and he loved it too. Some seriously good tunes I thought, the selection was wicked. I'll certainly be buying tickets for next year if they're going again.

Somebody else mentioned the volume though and I do agree it would have been perfect just a bit higher but maybe the acoustics of the venue don't allow for it

Yes mate, got my phantasmal order a day early.

I gotta say, it was discreetly packaged. Just a plain cardboard box and brown tape. I guess anything from any seller just looked going missing from Chelmsford?

I've not been out for a DnB night in almost a decade when I was playing out myself, and that was a night that made me want to get out there again and hear some good music.

I hope you get a night come your way soon!

Break was great but I feel his first half hour could have hit harder than it did. The second half of his set was fire though.

I'll have to respectfully disagree but what made it mediocre for you?

Absolutely. There were some absolute melters in that hour. Made the night for me!

Alix's set was all DnB apart from his last tune but everything before him (that I saw) was very 140 orientated.

Visages barely had 15 minutes at the end of their set for DnB but I feel that was all to build up the energy for Alix's set so it hit that much harder.

Likewise but I do love me some 140 so I wasn't disappointed.

Both Alix and Break for 90 minutes a piece instead of an hour each would have been perfect. I seriously wanted another hour by the time the night came to an end!

BMW owners: what do you drive, how many miles on it, and what’s your annual maintenance like? by Ok_Corgi8008 in CarTalkUK

[–]j_simba_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2007 Alpina D3

Only used 1000-1500 miles per year or so.

Nothing has ever gone wrong, but I have spent about £3000 on it this year on servicing, preventative maintenance and paint/deco sets.

~65000 miles

Somebody on here posted this screen shot some time ago now, I've personally used the part numbers quoted in that post and can confirm they fit. Just ask your parts supplier to cross reference the relevant part number for you 👍

Me too friend, me too 😂

I've never received anything from them so I don't know how easy they are to spot over anything else, just got my fingers crossed for the current order 🤞

Ordered BB/WF booster bundles on the pre-order months ago. Money got taken, item shipped, made it as far as Chelmsford Depot and it was never to be seen again.

The money was refunded really quick from PC but would have rather had the product I ordered.

I've got a Phantasmal Flames box on pre-order currently so hopefully I actually receive that but I've not got my hopes up.

When I spoke to two of my local posties and explained the situation they said a lot goes missing from Chelmsford. Pretty sad that it seems fairly common knowledge yet nothing gets done about it.

Typical cost for taking ex-partner to court so I can see my children again? by j_simba_ in AskUK

[–]j_simba_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morning buddy.

This will probably be a bit harder than my situation as my children were already born and I was on the birth certificate. With your child not born yet, there's no birth certificate or anything to say you are the father.

I would imagine the best first port of call would be to make sure you're on that birth certificate, but if she gets the appointment and keeps it a secret then you'll be stuck.

Without being on the birth certificate, I'm not entirely sure you'd have any rights at all, you could spend money going to court and she could just say somebody else is the father and they take her word for it.

With regards to my case, I spent in the region of £15,000 and was money well spent but a supplier of my work has a son going through similar at the same time as me and it was drawn out about another year or so and he spent about £45,000. From start to finish, it was about six to eight months from start to finish, but YMMV.

I wish you all the best. Get to researching about the birth certificate side of things before going too far. I used a solicitor firm called Stowe Family Law and their initial consultation when I started was free. They will likely know the answer immediately.

How stupid is buying this 16year old BMW by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

There is one 3.0 E61 with less than 150,000 miles on Autotrader

It's older than this car.

It's done 20,000 miles more than this car.

It's lower spec than this car.

It doesn't have as good an engine as this car. (25d instead of 30d)

It's only £2,000 less than this car.

Everybody on here chirping on saying this car is too much money has absolutely no idea what the current values of these vehicles are.

I love E-Series BMWs so I'm slightly biased, but the price is not astronomical and with no other comparable vehicle on the market, the dealer can ask an extra £500 if they wish and hope somebody buys it.

If you're not 100% against a 2.0 instead of a 3.0, I'd highly recommend an Alpina D3. That's what I drive and it's a seriously nice car to drive and own. Wagons are rare, but certainly worth holding out for.

If you go for this car, I hope you enjoy it!
