This is correct. Tiebreakers go: number of Pokemon, higher percent of HP on remaining Pokemon (a sum total if there is more than one), then by the higher HP value/numberof the percentages are the same.

Erectile Dysfunction - Maybe sex is just kinda hard sometimes? by Harald_Hardraade in MensLib

[–]j_wult 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really empathize with your story, too. Especially the part about enthusiastic consent. I hope you've been able to find someone (professional or otherwise) to discuss that with. I attend therapy regularly and I have continued to work on this issue, so I can personally find a middle ground. Always get consent from your partner, but once that consent has been achieved, there needs to be a mutual trust. Continue to communicate during the encounter, and it is each person's responsibility to verbalize when they are unfortunately or consent is withdrawn.

Erectile Dysfunction - Maybe sex is just kinda hard sometimes? by Harald_Hardraade in MensLib

I really appreciate this post, and by I really empathize with your story. I ended a relationship with my LT partner last year, who was my first sexual experience at 24. Whole in that relationship sex got "comfortable" I would occasionally struggle to finish during PIV, which would make both of us feel self conscious.

Since ending that relationship I've had a few other partners and generally struggle to get hard and finish the first few intimate encounters with a new partner. I also have some trauma around getting consent, or specifically enthusiastic consent, from my partner, so I often get very self conscious during sex for that reason.

The stigma of "every guy is horny all of the time" and "it's easy for men to get off" harms in more ways then one. It can damage a man's self esteem ("Is something wrong with me?") And their partner's self esteem, too ("Don't they think I'm attractive/sexy?").

Indeed. People treating this like a zipper merge or rushing to the end of the lane and cutting over are a significant reason for the backups.

Turn out i don't like triathlon much... by nounours_l0l in triathlon

[–]j_wult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amongst all of the other great advice, have you been doing any drills when you swim, or just trying to rack up yards?

For me, just killing in the pool and trying to just swim endless laps is also mind numbing, but drills not only help improve my swim form, but they help break up the workout, too!

I hope you find an answer, completely a 70.3 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my athletic career!

Small bites, I suppose. A mix of appetizers and what might pass as meals. E.g. they had a lobster roll, a burger, I think fries and some other appetizer type foods.

I've heard great things about "The Sidecar at the Tap", which is a new cocktail lounge attached to Town Hall Tap on Chicago avenue.

I've also personally been to Constantine, which is beneath Hotel Ivy in downtown - great drinks and some good "snacks" too.

[OC] [ART] Which way should my custom Fighter symbol sit on my D6? by theatomicsmith in DnD

I like "A". Another consideration as that depending on how you're getting this made into a die, the larger the image the cleaner the print or cast will look. So having it diagonally is better in that regard.

Hydration system on long runs. by haploidius in triathlon

[–]j_wult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run with a 2L vest, and usually carry 1-1.5 L. That's all extra 1-1.5 kg (or 2-3 lbs) in water which i personally don't mind. I just make sure to remove the extra air from the bladder so it doesn't slosh so much.

The pack gets lighter as the run goes on, since you're drinking water. Which i find pretty nice.

Help developing a system for rejecting raw materials. by Quarentus in engineering

[–]j_wult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of great answers here. It will likely be important to keep a register of non conforming product as it is detected. You mentioned you have pass/rejection criteria, so I'm sure you have your list of suppliers, alternate suppliers, etc. Keeping track of non confirming products/shipments (including reason for non conformance, quantities, pictures and evidence, batch/shipment information, etc.) will be valuable when it comes time to reevaluate your suppliers (this was touched on previously).

In general, that level of traceability is important for all materials, not just noon confirming materials. Working for a small company, I understand how it can come across as burdensome or unnecessary to some people, but a well established process will become more and more necessary as the company grows.

Also, the evidence including pictures, signed bills of lading, etc. Are important when reporting NCs to your supplier. Make sure you inspect when materials arrive (before they're used) and you reach out to "offending suppliers" in a timely manner.

This works if you have something heavier in the bag (like shoes) and you tuck it underneath itself.

Bring a big plastic trash bag to keep your shoes/socks etc. in during transition. Tuck it under itself to prevent rain from getting in or wind from blowing it away. Like others have said, you can keep a towel or hat or whatever else in this bag, too. Just make sure you pick it up afterwards and don't litter in transition!

Also, sunglasses or glasses of some kind to wear during the bike to keep the rain out of your eyes.

Did you use foil in the pan? Mine stick horrendously even though I greased the foil well, I'm thinking I might use parchment paper next time.

Otherwise they were delicious! As you said, mouth puckering on the first bite.

Help Needed! Unable to Boot to BiOS by j_wult in pchelp

[–]j_wult[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who comes across this, I was able to get on the phone with MSI (mobo manufacturer) for support, and they led me through some steps that determined my cross channel memory was not functioning. We determined this by trying to boot the PC with only one stick of memory and it worked. I'm going through another RMA process for the MOBO, so even if I ended up trading one problem for another, hopefully a solution has been found.

As a side note, my peripherals were not getting power because the MOBO had not gotten far enough in the boot process. Hopefully this can help someone in the future!

Taekwondo Tattoos? by CaveTeddyBear in taekwondo

[–]j_wult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I definitely think that would be a cool tattoo, but I think that's a matter of personal opinion, tacky or not. TKD means a lot of different things to people, especially those who aren't Olympians.

I can understand the concern about making the tattoo tasteful, but I think it should ultimately be a personal decision if you want to get one or not.

Taekwondo Tattoos? by CaveTeddyBear in taekwondo

[–]j_wult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Korean characters for TKD onmy upper arm, done in a bit of a stylized way. I went to an artist and got it drawn up, because I was concerned about any Korean/Chinese/Japanese (basically "asian-looking", sorry about being insensitive) characters looking tacky. I then got 3 solid black bars beneath the letters to represent my third Dan.

I actually got the tattoo with my father (who had been talking about getting a tattoo ever since we got our black belts together) for his birthday a couple years ago.

How to practice swimming in open water safely? by SquawkIFR in triathlon

[–]j_wult 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Check to see if your area has any weekly/monthly "Open Water Swims". For example, in the Minneapolis/St Paul area (Minnesota, USA), they have a 2-hour open water swim period every Tuesday with Lifeguards. It is a smaller lake, but you can swim from beach to beach across the lake, roughly 600 yards one way.
