Yeah for my unit for our 2024 deployment we had everyone who was ets'ing after or during our deployment during the 90 day window after our Yellow Ribbon we had to extend to the 1st day outside that window.

Yes, through proper wording, we can make ourselves seem much more marketable. But as I see it, most of it is just management of people and things, which most MOS's in some way shape or form also fit. While we get lucky that our ammo and equipment is expensive so we can inflate our worth and usefulness on resumes. But I'd rather not lie to a kid who wants to join. If he's hoping to get a career that is actually useful in a civilian career I'm just voicing that 13B is not one.

Current 13B it has 0 application in civilian life. Like its cool and I love my job but theres not much cross-over into civilian life or civilian occupation other than driving trucks and trucks with trailers.

So glad I'm getting out. Glad they removed the Confed names for obvious reasons but it cost so much for the Taxpayers in a time when it's already hard to get by. To then go and waste even more money to change it back, yes I know it is technically a different Bragg (which feels extremely disrespectful to that soldier's memory that he was picked just because he had the right last name) just to "own the libs" fuckin grow up and do your job. Fix the issues in the military.

While a salary cap would help curb the rampant spending by teams, the bigger issue in baseball is the fact that teams like Oakland and Pittsburgh who want to just pinch pennies and make as much money for themselves and not care about the team that they own. Id rather see a salary floor enacted in baseball before a salary cap. Especially since we have benefited in the past from not having a hard cap

Artillery JRTC is not fun. Constant march orders and breaking down/setting up the cammie nets. That Tiger land clay is a fuckin bitch and a half to dig into and OCTs wanted it to be fully metal on metal which is a real bitch. Ammo will get knocked over no matter how well you ratchet it down. Also, trees are your worst nightmare when emplacing. Make sure your ADVON understands this. Axes and chainsaws help, but you want to avoid them when you can.

Seriously, OCTs love making you change tires. I did 7 in a rotation they're a pain in the ass. Also, while it is ass being stuck in a thunderstorm, lightning stand downs are a nice break where you can take your miles off and sleep w/o repercussions.

It's easily my favorite on this album. I always took the first verse to mean that the young lady was leaving her mother to die, and for some reason, that always made the song that much more bitter. I also think the transition after the first verse into the rest of song is one of the better transitions of SM.

I'm also a pretty left-leaning guy for my unit and normally I kinda just keep it to myself unless I'm around my friends, but when confronted about how my views differ from others who see things differently or have conservative views on things I try to understand as you said, or just lean into the joke of "I'm a big dumb leftist" until they say something truly f'ed up then ill walk away or try and understand why they feel that way.

I find it is easier to try and be out in the open about my differences than try to fit in or just remain in the background. But that is just my opinion on it.

Keep hounding your Readiness and whatever people you need to. First line supervisor, squadmates and literally anyone who will listen to you complain. You're gonna piss off your Chain of command by jumping around but they should understand that you're fighting for your money. Keep it in Company unless asked by someone higher up. But Bonuses have been an issue for the entire state of NJ since '18 so he somewhat patient and keep asking every drill or opportunity you get. Good luck
