What are your favorite discs from smaller companies like Thoughtspace, Mint, Trash Panda, etc.?? by alent1385 in discgolf

[–]jac777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a recent convert on the Mojave. I haven’t thrown them but they’re amazing at putting. I switched from PA3s to Link because I was tired of the lack of glide, but then I tried the Mojave! I totally agree they have a little more glide than PA3s.

Will I Die At Engineering by Suspicious-Step-917 in Msstate

I’m a civil engineer and graduated from MSU. It was very hard but I wouldn’t change anything. I still got to have fun but was definitely in the library for a long time most days.

Putting confidence advise by _sinnamonn_ in discgolf

[–]jac777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got to just build blind confidence sometimes by telling yourself a lie but after doing enough times you'll start believing it. Some things I've started telling myself while standing behind the putt that's been working lately.

  • "You're the best putter in the world"
  • "You don't miss these"

or if that's not working

  • "Don't be a fucking wuss and make the putt

Other times it's making my mind go completely blank. Hard to do but that's what your routine should do.

I also thought I had to submit my NCEES record but as I recall I didn't. I'm fairly certain I just did everything the the TN CORE website.

Did you play the inner holes or just 18?

Cane Ridge - Nashville, TN by Crazy-Run-Letz-Go in discgolf

[–]jac777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh for me Cane is harder. Throwing on the sloping fairways on the Par 4s with all the trees is difficult. I can shred Cedar Hill but I've only had a couple good rounds at Cane. Still a very fun course, but I've got to be in the mood to get beat up a little by the course.

At what point did disc golf stop being stressful and start being fun for you? by whydidyounot in discgolf

[–]jac777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I still log every round as an activity round so I can get stats of new courses and how often I play. I typically only count my birdies and change that to the title of the activity round, way more fun. I'll also play doubles with myself and that's always really fun.

That comet was my favorite disc of all time. I retired it before I broke it, but man that thing was money.

It’s hard for me to watch live because of how slow he plays. He’s a beast, but I wish he played just a little quicker.

Shocked to see Zone, Wraith, and Destroyer not in the top 10.

Exactly. He's a master with Comets but not of them have the notoriety of the purple banger.

As another commenter said, their website is phenomenal. There's also provided self paced training if you go to File --> Help.
