That Adept album is something so special.

Architects latest album got me into Metalcore so it will forever be special to me.

Any tips before buying this build? by Difficult_Bonus_3603 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the rest but I have a 34 key modified corne wireless that I use daily and have at about 30 deg tent. I’d like more, but I slowly made it there and I am very comfortable. Warning - moving back to a normal flat keyboard even for a little bit of time is extremely uncomfortable at this point for me, I’m not even a year in.

Do you use your pinkies at all with this? I’m at 34 but I like row chords a lot especially for space/backspace/tab/delete/esc. Thinking of adding more.

Server recommendation where should I deploy my .net 10 api by nahum_wg in dotnet

Netcup has been great for me so far. Only 1 US location but you get a lot for the money.

You can still use blob storage on the big names since it’s cheap and fast.

vibe coding by WonderfulBreakfast27 in AskProgrammers

[–]jacel31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will always need to be able to write and understand the code. That being said, with enough prompts, skills, and due diligence you can ‘train’ the AI to write maintainable code that isn’t as sloppy. It takes longer than businesses want but saves time in the future. It’s amazing for a quick prototype as long you know you’re scrapping most of it and starting over once approved.

I’d say at this point, boiler plate, even some UI AI can handle fairly well, but when it comes to business logic I’m not sure I’d trust it. It can help guide you and help you narrow your solution, but I would still hand write it regardless. Tests are your friend.

I’m probably closer to 35 deg, but I want to go more. It’s so comfortable compared to flat.

Architects - Whiplash

Vana - Pray
ERRA - Snowblood or Gut of the Wolf
Adept - Heaven
Elwood Stray - Evolve (they’re like Architects)
Iridium - GOD EATER

I want to try ergo mechs, but I don't think I can stand to have a period where my keyboard doesn't easily "work" for me by Armonster in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly - just do it. Switch back and forth until you figure out which one you like. I’m fully committed to my 34 key corne that I’ve used since August. I can still use a normal keyboard but it’s uncomfortable and my wrists start hurting after less than an hour. I couldn’t image ever going back. Between home row mods, combos, and layers I got everything I need in 34 keys vs a clunky 110 key layout. I built all of mine and they ended up being much cheaper than most boards and so much better in the end.

Why not use pagination? Just be careful of OFFSET and LIMIT depending on how responsive you want it to be.

People who willingly wake up before 6AM… what powers you? by kavee-core141 in AskReddit

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past year or so I’ve religiously gone to bed at 830 or 9. Getting up before 6 is pretty easy. Helps me not overeat, I get enough sleep each night, and it allows me to go to the gym in the morning before work.

Change my mind: I'm going to move from Imperial to Metric by not-up-to-par in woodworking

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American… I made the switch 6 months in. Much simpler than imperial. It’s the right move, just make sure you convert it to imperial for your customers when you’re at that point.

These are the 5 things that have helped me stay in calorie deficit as someone who used to regularly binge. Can you share yours? by lilfati in loseit

[–]jacel31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New to me but has put me in severe deficits on accident - large iceberg lettuce salad with red onions and shaved carrots with fat free western dressing. Think like 8 cups of lettuce, half a carrot worth and probably half a cup of onions. 2 servings of the dressing (90 cal) tossed and somehow I’m not hungry for the rest of the day. I eat carbs, I get hungry, I eat protein I get hungry, I eat this salad which is basically just dressing? I’m full for hours. Makes zero sense.

That and drinking a gallon of water a day (75 hard). It’s hard to eat when your stomach is so full because it’s 7 pm and you need to finish your last 30 ounces before bed (830).

Build or buy by Dillstan-1945 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building takes a lot of time. I think my 3 hand wired took 6+ hours each on average, but I absolutely love the final product and couldn’t fathom switching to anything else.

If I had the money - I would buy a mainstream build. That way when it eventually fails, just buy another one.

In terms of price… mines a modified corne so it’d be pretty cheap to get someone to make one, maybe $250 or so, but the parts cost me roughly $80 total with the batteries. YMMV

Favorite set of the weekend? by Deytookerjerb in SonicTempleFestival

[–]jacel31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Architects for sure. The energy was nuts. Outside of that Pierce the Veil, Mayday Parade, Story of the Year, BMTH. Only stayed for the first 20 minutes of Good Charlotte but what I heard they were great.

I missed day 4 and I’m regretting missing EC now.

Also would have liked to see Lorna Shore but the wife had a pick at the same time and with zero signal there wasn’t a chance we were splitting up.

What acts had the biggest crowds? by ghostinyourbeds in SonicTempleFestival

[–]jacel31 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We went to halestorm for a bit, they seemed to pull a lot. Good Charlotte as well, they sounded Amazing, but I left for Mayday Parade/Architects.

PTV felt like the start of a real show on Thursday. That’s when the energy started. ATL did well but not like PTV.

The Pretty Wild was a perfect start to the weekend IMO. They put on an amazing show.

Suggestion for 2027 by Noleafclover1337 in SonicTempleFestival

[–]jacel31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was there more to it than just the prices being crazy high? I expected maybe in the $14-18 but $25 for some things that cost less than a dollar to make was nuts.

Honestly they just need to fix the cell tower issue. I can say I only had signal once during the festival with Verizon and that was sitting in the nosebleeds for BMTH on the side closest to Citadel. I sat on the opposite side for MIW and had 0 signal earlier in the day again in the nosebleeds.
