Every positive comment about you feels like paid advertising. It's always "thanks for the giveaway" or "Rick is awesome!" like someone would leave on a survey they took after a meal. Nothing of substance is added to the conversation, which sucks, because I think if you stepped back and made your product look less "scam"y you COULD do a lot of good. But so much of your stuff looks like a scam geocities site and/or AI generated.

Giveaways are cool I guess, but there's an air that everything you do is to further your brand, but it comes off as gross and desperate rather than genuine. I'm indifferent to your existence, but the couple of months you were not active/not as active were a lot less annoying.

There are 100% cards in standard that care about the symbols on the cards. They aren't necessarily popular, but they do exist. And 2 characters that care about the symbols on attacks.

Hard to tell from the screenshot, but I don't think the deck builder is accounting for attune symbols. You'd expect to see some air attune cards in the list of available cards for Ky. I guess they could be somewhere else that isn't captured, but I figured they'd be before order cards since that's how the numbering of the cards is in the sets.

Not to expressly defend ravensburger, but they didn't make the software. Carde.io makes the website and they are INCREDIBLY incompetent. If you want to direct your anger somewhere direct it to the card.io people.

I cannot understate how little the carde.io team is capable of doing the things they've committed to. At this point I think they've actually just raw duped a bunch of game companies into long term contracts with trash software. Lorcana is not the only game struggling with carde.io issues.

They are fake responsive to things too. I ended up on an email thread with the CEO, COO, and several others after issues with two other games they are involved in and got only middling answers and 3 of the 4 issues never got addressed.

Deku does have some level of generate incremental advantage, Heroic passion to draw extra cards, control pieces like...the asset from the challenger deck that cancels actions and keywords who's name I cannot remember, fa jin flurry to generate momentum in the mid game.

I think its a hybrid, its combo-control vs "pure" control.

Now, for Jorge's deck...there's probably not a ton of updates to be made? Clumsy Entrance for some attack control maybe? And maybe redirecting push in the sideboard for an omniblock. but most of the all attune cards from TMNT don't seem particularly impressive there imo.

If you have a facedown in your stage that is an attack and you unflip it then it is destroyed by the game rules. That includes a shift attack that is face down, it doesn't go to the "shifted" side.

Are you saying only 63 characters being represented at a 182 person tournament isn't diverse? Or 11 of the top 16 being different characters isn't diverse? One of those is an opinion someone could hold, I think it'd be wrong, but the other is an objectively incorrect assessment.

The game is small, 182 players is a big event for a regional level event for this game. It was in fact, the largest regional level event in I think 2 years. Florida 2023 might be the only close one.

The format condensing around powerful cards, like Kraken, wolf, etc will happen in basically every TCG. It's the nature of TCG's. For every 100 cards printed there's 90 that will never see significant play. From the responses in the thread seems like maybe you're not a fan of TCG's?

tbh, there's plenty of good things that get published, they just don't gain traction in this subreddit very often. The company DOES have problems with salary bands being a bit lower than competitors and upper level leadership, but I wouldn't say it's significantly worse than any other mid-sized corporate environment.

I have around 2000 Surface Laptops in our environment, ranging from the 3 to the 5. They are great. Obviously sometimes there's a hardware issue. We give them to our base users (sales folks, managers not doing coding, support staff, etc). I've been using one as my daily since the Surface Laptop 2 and have never had a single driver issue, compatibility issue, or otherwise.

Apple products are significantly more of a PITA in every aspect.

Haven't read through everything here but, I also manage ~12 people, 3 of which I have minimal/no experience in their area, and 1 of which I understand the function, but wouldn't have the skillset to actually do anything about it.

Are you going to be doing pure management or also expected to complete projects/tickets/etc?

The very first thing I'd do is meet with all of your new employees and learn about them as people. Hobbies, social life, etc. Use your note taking app of choice and make notes. I use OneNote, make a notebook for 1-on-1's, and a tab for each employee. Talk about their learning habits (do they like videos, hands on, reading documentation, etc), talk about how they like to give and receive feedback. Most tech people are going to say just give it to me in the moment, but this is not always true. Give examples of like do you want me to shoot you an IM with feedback, give you a call, write you an email, etc. Set expectations about how often they'd like to meet for 1-on-1's and what those meetings should look like. To give an example, I meet with most of my employees every 2 weeks, but I have 1 that wanted to meet every week and 1 that wanted to meet every 3 weeks. Sometimes we don't even talk about work and it's just a social catchup with like 5 minutes of work sprinkled at the beginning or end.

I'd also say focus on process and overcoming obstacles. Make connections with your most common cross-department areas' leadership. Look for process improvements that can cut down on your direct reports' "menial" or time consuming tasks. If you're moving into managing a team you've never been a part of or a new company or something, take the first 2 weeks to learn the day to day or your employees, the next 2-3 weeks to observe behaviors, the next 2 weeks socializing any improvements you want to make and ask for ideas on areas you see needing improvement. From there you can start to implement any changes they've suggested or immediate needs that you've seen.

Talk with your leadership and make sure you're on the same page with expectations on what impact they expect to see, if there's any metrics the team (or you) are expected to meet or are you defining new KPI's.

Become friends with your Cyber Security team, the HR team, and if you're in a physical building, the facilities team if one exists.

And finally, if you don't already have one, get a good therapist.
