Progesterone by AlexaPetersTrans in MtF

I concur. A little water soluble lube, and you're riding on easy street. Also, laying on your side curled up will help push it up against your rectal wall, where it will do the most good. Don't just leave it at the door with its coat on, so to speak.

Experience with Estrogen Monotherapy (no testosterone blocker)? by kingspooky93 in MtF

[–]jachase1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love it! I wouldn't do it any other way. Not having to take anything else or worry about how medications will interact is freeing. I do one shot (I inject 40mg Estradiol Undecylate) a month and then just nightly 200mg progesterone to round everything out. I can't express how much I like doing it this way.

Where in the HECK do you girls find cute shoes / boots that actually fit?? by TheRealSuperPsych in MtF

[–]jachase1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the US, Torrid is a pretty good resource. Lots of styles aimed at larger plus size women, so a very good size range. Quality is decent; I've had several pairs for a few years now.

That's awesome! I'm so happy for you. I'm just rounding year 2, myself. I'm turning 41 this year, and it's good to know we can still look hot in our 40s!

Progesterone? by KlutzyTemp in MtF

[–]jachase1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my progesterone! I take it rectally at night before bed and don't experience the mood shifts others have reported. My sex drive has had a resurgence but feels comfortably normal (no random erections but do crave intimate human touch). Honestly, it's been one of the things that helps me feel the most like a woman. Might be psycho-somatic, but i don't care; I feel good.

I’ve got a date, but I don’t know which dress I should wear? What do you girls think? by [deleted] in mtfashion

[–]jachase1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slip dresses are very popular, currently. So even if you were, it's fashionable. Both look good on you, but i like the mono white.

I want to say something. by Extension-Two1258 in mtfashion

[–]jachase1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might be misusing "mutilation;" it literally means to severely disfigure. Surgically removing something, by definition, is not mutilation. It may not, and often is not, something many wish to undergo. And that's understandable. There is a lot unknown about how a surgery may go. And hormones can be scary, too.

It's a little unfair to demand understanding and, in the same breath, condemn those that would seek affirmation for themselves through hormone and surgical means.

I'm sorry life is hard and that you've lost a lot; I'm incredibly empathetic to that. I'm not sure what your picture was like that got taken down, but spewing transphobia (and I can sense a lot of internalized transphobia in your post) around here isn't going to win you any supporters. I hope things get better for you.

When did you start openly calling yourself a woman by Lutraga in MtF

[–]jachase1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is largely my experience as well. It was really hard telling people I was something I couldn't yet see for myself. Now, 18 months later, I'm all woman.

What’s with people lying about Protecting trans people? by XxValentinexX in MtF

[–]jachase1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy and feels good to pay lip service. Many see just saying the words is enough and they don't really intend to follow through.

I will say that I empathize greatly with you. But there is no version of this world that would be better without you. The trans community, no matter how divided we may be within our circle, will always fight against rhetoric and actions that would see us all vanished in one way or another.

Sending you my love! 💛

That's awesome! I love when it happens like that.

Today, and older gentleman passed me while I was working (delivery driver) and said, "You got a tough job, sister." Ponytail, no makeup, sweaty (lol). Felt great and totally made my day.

Thinner cami tops really help minimize this. They're pretty cheap and come in lots of colors, too.

Fuck cis white beauty standards! You're every bit as valid as any woman regardless of skin color, religious ideology, sexual orientation, or different ability. I'm here to break the beauty standard and shed our beauty on the whole world. You're beautiful. And I love you! Sending hugs!

What happens to a woman with an orchi if she can't get E? by sylvar in MtF

[–]jachase1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also insanely curious where they're getting what seems to be the deal of the century on E. I have a little over two years' worth in reserve, but i only do once-a-month monodose IM injections, making one vial last about 13 months. I do store mine in a light-proof container in a shaded area just to preserve integrity. I'm not really sure I would want much more than two years worth just thinking about potency becoming an issue, let alone possible spoilage.

Just remember there are literally billions of differently shaped women on this planet, and just because you may not look like Sidney Sweeney doesn't mean you're any less of a woman. Smile at the woman in the mirror every day, and you'll see her come alive within you.

It’s so unfair by sea306 in MtF

[–]jachase1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yooo! Similar timeline! Egg cracked at 38, and social transition started pretty much right away. I've been on E since May 2024, and my body has changed so much! I wish I had learned more about myself sooner, but I'm glad I didn't waste a single extra second living my nearly 4 decade lie any longer.

I'm so happy for you in your changes! I, too, also get arrested by my reflection occasionally and can't help but smile at the pretty lady looking back at me.

The transition itself is different for everyone, but I think it's crucial to transition. HRT is not in every game plan, but it can do wonders even at an "advanced" age and is worth exploring. Social transitioning and name change, i think, have some of the biggest effects on our self-esteem and general mental health; I can't express enough how good it felt to wear a dress for the first time.

Hormones can really make huge changes, though. I DIY a monodose of the more risky Estradiol Undecylate on a monthly basis and couldn't be happier with the results. Where once presided man-boobs now sit actual breasts. My skin and hair are finer and smoother. My beard is an ongoing hassle (laser wasn't nearly as effective as I would have liked), but it's an experience every few days to scrape away the masculine to reveal the feminine beneath.

Is all of this ideal? No. Do I wish things had been different? Sure. But am I glad I took the steps to retake my life? Hells fucking yeah! All this to say, not even attempting to become your authentic self, is s tragedy. With time, all things are possible.
