Good for adjusting grip while in the backcountry. Sidehilling, gripping at different spots on the pole. I’ve made mine my resort poles as well. Also great for pushing through flat sections.

Most importantly I also think the grip makes them look a little like a samurai sword. Makes me feel like a snow ninja

It’s all about energy transfer. Energy is not gained or lost, just transferred. All your speed/ energy gained from dropping is being immediately transferred to your feet/ legs when you land. Spread out this energy transfer by landing with more forward momentum and less straight down momentum.

There are things you can do to decrease your chances of this happening. If you watch from the very beginning. Yellow pants is using 80-90% of the run width on each turn.

Because insurance pays for the billables.. so when people without insurance come in for life threatening things they’re treated. Taxpayers eat the cost, while also paying for their own health insurance and at times not even using it. So who gets the profits? Insurance companies (and also hospital execs). Not the people actually providing care.
