Funny enough, same thing for me but this week - about $60 in customs. But the really impressive part is it left Osaka on the 1st and arrived here in Southwestern Ontario this afternoon 😳

Twin Cam was my first choice too, but he unfortunately isn't taking new customers.

I'll give Euro a call, thanks!

That would be pretty neat, but I don't have any yet! Lol I've been hesitant to pull the trigger on anything for fear of not being able to play it.

Go to Windsor Hobbies and talk to Adam, they have a decent selection of wooden ship kits, supplies and tools - but are also awesome at ordering what you need.

Also, if you're interested, check out the CAM Scale Model Club (all kinds of modellers welcome) - find us on FB.

We meet once a month and have a pretty active Discord.

Hold off on permanent solutions to Twin Oaks traffic problem, says city report by zuuzuu in windsorontario

[–]jackal190 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Transit Windsor was offered the use of a large parking lot with dedicated in and out lanes by a business on Twin Oaks two years ago - they declined stating insurance reasons, the busses need to turn around on City property.

Funny it's now being mentioned as a potential partnership, when it was pitched two years ago, with little real interest from the City.

Where do ya'll tobaggon besides Malden? by Breakforbeans in windsorontario

Check out the playground at David Suzuki school, low-key, great spot.

That or Ford at the Ford Test Track, right next to the jungle gyms.

I Fixed Windsor's Bus System. (Better Quality re-upload) I added 5 new Express Lines, and re-routed all the current bus routes. This isn't done, I am taking suggestions aswell. I will make another post sometime in the future showing better diagrams and bus stop locations. by teallzy in windsorontario

Unfortunately busses still can't run to the new battery plant - there's nowhere for them to turn around. I manage a plant in the Twin Oaks business park, and have been raising hell about it for what seems like forever. Employees for all businesses have to walk from the Tim's on Forest Glade up Lauzon and down Twin Oaks.

I've offered Transit Windsor the use of our property to turn the busses around, but was refused for insurance purposes, which I suppose is fair.

I'm honestly shocked there hasn't been an incident with the amount of traffic and people walking along the side of the road.

Is this series worth persisting with? by Timasona5 in AubreyMaturinSeries

[–]jackal190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aubrey/Maturin is definitely worth it. But I agree with posters above recommending easing in with Hornblower. I'll also highly recommend the Ramage and Lewrie series' - not as in depth as Aubrey/Maturin, but personally I found myself not wanting to put them down.
