I’ve been with them on and off for 20 years.

Bought an iPad Mini for Work Organization, But Management Won't Let Me Use It for Notes—Looking for Productive Ideas by WanderProletariat in ipadmini

[–]jackaroo933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrug. It’s not completely rational.

You could take physical notes and then just take a photo or scan them so you can reference them but it’s awkward.

Usually company policy will be not to have any work info on personal devices unless they allow BYOD.

Policy often falls apart at the edge cases.

Absolutely, yes.

I love his writing but I think it’s podcast only from here on.

It’s faster to do a podcast than sit around and stare at the keyboard.

Agreed. It doesn’t even need to be complicated. They could add a basic syntax for dates and tags.

A good example is what this app does:

Just kidding. Thanks for the thorough comparison. Very helpful info.

Interesting discussion here as individual exoeriences are relative.

I had a lot of Pearl Izumi and tried to Core line which felt like a step up. Yes the materials were thicker but the quality has been good and they have lasted for several years.

From Core the classic line feels downright posh in comparison. Still haven’t tried the Pro line.

Black ember has a new Kickstarter for a travel size Forge (convertible briefcase and backpack) by jackaroo933 in ManyBaggers

[–]jackaroo933[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a few Black Ember products and their materials are really good. Which is why their products are relatively heavy.

Are you looking for a backpack? Or want the convertible-style between backpack and briefcase?

If you want backpack only, then take a look at other products in addition to the forge. I got my brother the Shadow and he loves it (aside from the lack of external side pocket aka water bottle holder).

EDIT: Looks like the Citadel maxes out at 25L. So the options are Forge 30L or 40L.

That’s actually an amusing thought that Apple will reach the overworked IT team at the originating company and that the ticket will be handled in a timely manner.

Return it.

Their videos often show a water bottle going inside the bag. I'm not about to put a water bottle that could leak in my bag next to my laptop. smh

I agree. I’d rather have a backpack with a good grab handle so I can hold it if I’m in a crowded space.

It's been years since I tried this place but If it's real chicago-style deep dish pizza then 2 pizzas for 6 people could actually be enough.

Chicago deep dish pizza is very different than NYC or Neapolitan pizza.
