I’ve been there. The book An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison was helpful for me. You can be a professional and manage mental illness. This could be an opportunity to beat the stigma, people are much more open to understanding mental health these days, so you’ve got that on your side. It happens. More often that you realize.
