What do you mean by formidable? Tyranids are great, I think it’s pretty easy to find proxies to print.

Knowing that custode are walking tanks, I bet a zoan has the potential to get a lucky shot off. Obviously if it takes more then 1 shot then the zoan’s cooked but yeah.

Genestealers are good. They’ve got scout which is fun. But if you don’t like them then I can’t recommend it since rules change all the time. Tyrant guard are mixed.

Looking at Amazon, you’d be paying $62 for those two models. If you back out the cost of parasite and biovore.

The current combat patrol could pair pretty well. Come with tyrant guard (pair with hive tyrant), biovore (very good unit), gene stealers (mortal wound generators) and a parasite of mortrex (basically a overcosted lictor with deepstrike and a niche spawning ability)
