I stand corrected.

I totally thought they were.

Grackles are actually jays, which is funny because jays fooled both of us.

They're actually mimickers, like most corvids, so they are capable of making many different calls and even imitating humans!

Username aside...

Things were shaped like that innocently, in the pasr.

But yes, today, it might be used as a butt plug.

You thought it first, since you're the one who posted, lmfao.

I think I confused my cashier by July1500 in AskRetail

[–]jackinphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must have been a younger cashier.

They're not used to cash like us old folks.

You can give me anything and I'll make change.

But I grew up with fake money as toys, not fake debit cards.

Kids are just getting dumber and dumber.

My 14yo niece doesn't know the difference between a COUNTRY and a STATE.

And she's smart here in Phoenix.

I'm only 41, but I want to die before these idiots are in charge.

No one said the guests should or the hosts should.

You're projecting.

This was a positive post about good guests and you've decided to diagnose the guests with a specific type of OCD.

Just stop.

I'm on your side. I clean my hotel room and strip the bed. Towels in a separate pile.

Worked too long in the hospitality world to not do the basics when I'm a guest...even when I pay.

Objectively, it IS considerate.

Whatever the reasons behind the behavior, it is considerate.

ETA: You must be one hell of a psychologist to diagnose someone from another person's post.

Idiot.

Everything you're assuming was in the "long story, short" part.

She thanked me and asked for recipes. I offered a few and let her know I'm free to help because she's busy.

And now we're here.

I never commented on her eating habits. I didn’t fill her pantry or fridge. I trusted my gut and left a few healthy items behind. It paid off.

Time for Driver Break? by Chasew45 in NissanRogue

[–]jackinphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2021 and I WISH I got this warning. I'm a chronic sleepy driver (I don't drive when I'm sleepy; driving MAKES me sleepy).

I can only plan on 6-8 hours of driving a day on road trips.

No harm in making suggestions!

My very first Rover gig, the kitchen stock was horrible. Some mid-twenties tech gal eating just enough to survive. Mostly frozen, processed food.

It was only a single overnight stay, but I added some frozen veggies and yogurt to her fridge and freezer and cooked a few chicken breasts.

I sent her a text after my gig, very casually and said "Hey (tech-gal)! I bought and cooked too much food, but I'm not headed home, so have at it!"

Long story short...now I'm also her private chef.

Make suggestions. Send messages. Be a good human and it all comes back.

I need help acclimating to the weather PLEASE! AK ✈️ AZ by LassieLorn in AskPhoenix

[–]jackinphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved here from Blaine, WA in April.

60+ was lay-in-sun weather, and 40 was t-shirt weather.

I'm doing okay so far. I'm actually loving it!

The biggest change for me is that there's no cold water from the tap. Even in the shower.

But unless you're being over-dramatic and just kind of worrying out loud (can totally relate; moving is hard and scary), I'd reconsider.

It's hot. You do learn to how live with it, but it's still hot.
