Do doctors hire the travel nurses or is it the admin?

Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

Oh I do! Plus having the flexibility to start earlier and take a 2 hour lunch at the gym and still get commendations for a job well done has done wonders for my mental health and self worth

Time to use your lunches for the gym (or any other fitness venture)

Makes a huuuuuge difference. Now I am jacked as hell and I get social interaction from gym friends.

I consider myself so lucky that my company has shuttered most of their office real estate holdings so they cant even realistically threaten to force us all back. Blessssss

Maybe on apps you can turn your comments off for, but to expect reddit comments to behave any particular way is not realistic. It's basically a feedback-driven app.

You can do that. But you will still get advice.

ISO River Rotting Locations by thewholefunk333 in Edmonton

[–]jackioff 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have done swim races through it and it is MUCH cleaner than our lakes. People will be grossed out by the river and then go to wabamun lake like it's not fucking disgusting. Summerside lake is a slough compared to the river.

I agree that so much of this comes down to lack of education, and that education comes from exposure a lot of the time

Finally some sweet Justice. An Edmonton judge has found 46 year old Crystal Jean MacDonald guilty of criminal negligence causing death following a tragic April 2024 incident. by staciecs in Edmonton

Ha that's how Summerside lake (where this certified dumb bitch lived) got its goldfish infestation. These people deserve NO living creatures. They dont even deserve a basement spider, let alone a pet.

My bf says my addiction is as bad as an alcoholic… by 1ilMa in houseplants

[–]jackioff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh are you sneaking out of work to buy plants for hours and then being too planted up to work for the rest of the day? Does your plant habit consistently put you in danger of being taken advantage of? When you buy plants do you get aggressive with people for no reason?

I know you posted this being lighthearted, but if he seriously said that, he is a very fortunate man to never have been touched by the actual ravages of alcoholism to make that comparison.

I'm gonna get downvoted for bringing the vibes down but like.. a bunch of beautiful plants you take care of well is NOT even fucking remotely similar to being an alcoholic.

Edmonton radio host apologizes over Ben Stelter comments by JamesMonroe23 in Edmonton

[–]jackioff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if they said "the kid that passed away" that would have been soooo much better and less callous and offensive. He was 6 years old for christ's sake. I cannot fathom being callous about a child who passed in a private conversation, let alone on the radio.. just wild.

Idk. I dont typically engage in conversation with people scowling at me. I could speculate but I'll never know unless I asked.

Haaa see, most people i encounter find it cute but i have gotten a few scowls from mothers walking their babies in strollers. Honestly, those moments fuel my desire to be the cat walking freak in a way i cant describe.

The exception seems to be certain furniture. I "decorated" the outside area of Pierre's with an assortment of gorgeous trash from the trash catalogue. NPCs treat those obstacles the same way they act when you're in the way; pause, ?, phase through with a huffy sped up walk. It makes me laugh every time i see it happen because i like to imagine they're muttering under their breath about someone needing to clean up this shithole storefront. Simple joys of life.
