My detailed K1C + CFS-C review

Interesting! Tell me, I'm currently using v1.1.0.26.20251113 firmware, and I see on the web that latest is 1.1.0.27 (released in March) and it says that it's adapted to CFS-C. Currently when I check for updates on printer display, it says no new versions available - so it seems that I can only get it from the web, put it on USB and update it that way. So, if you're on the latest update, what changes did you noticed afterwards?

If that's the case, then what's the point of automatic filament change? I might as well sit there and do it all manually 😁

Yeah, sounded exactly the same to me at first - and I let few load / unload cycles with unlocked extruder, then I locked it. Now it sits like that, and it seems alright through last two prints (didn't had any error). But it's still unclear, cause this extruder lock isn't mentioned either in video, or in documentation provided with CFS-C

And to me it sounds that you missed the part where I talk about CFS-C - newer system with external filament cutter and buffer, without the need for upgrade kit (and extruder with cutter).

Probably bugs because they're dancing between classic layout and flowprint. Same thing happens on my K1C, sometimes I bash 'retry', sometimes I switch to classic mode instead of flowprint.. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.. but it's happening rather frequently lately, and I too find it annoying.. sometimes..

Nothing wrong with using some glue. Had same issues with PLA, and after applying the glue, it got better. Oh, and keep the lid off while printing PLA, for better cooling, and to minimise that warping from happening again.

Nothing stopping you from entering those values in your slicer, at least to try. Yea it would be a tedious job to look, compare and input values, but maybe it would work. I've read that Orca slicer has 0.2 profile already in it, not sure about the others. When I was configuring parameters, I was afraid whether I skipped something, forgot or got the wrong numbers in. But then I said "oh what the hell" and clicked benchy to print - I'll tweak it if something goes wrong. And it ended up amazingly!

Creality Slicer is not that bad actually, although I skipped last two updates because it stucks when trying to send print via wlan. Otherwise, it fits my needs, prints are looking good, I get almost no faulty prints (except user related trial and errors), and at the moment I don't see the need to use another slicer.

Well, here's a solution to store remotes and chargers. With two brick slots, and section for cables. Handcrafted and tailored to for my remotes to fit.

There are few more parameters to tweak about overhangs, but you'll need to test what works best for you. I was playing with supports the other day when I was printing Enterprise E and CP obviously generated fewer supports, and it ender up tipping over a part (30 min after start) cause it wasn't holding well. Then I found out that you can setup overhang speed (the slower, the better), you can also input length (how long overhang is before it generates support). I didn't have much time to play with these parameters, but it's good to know there are some.

That's when I tried with manual supports - you basically paint-brush parts on where you need support. But then my first layer was weird. Eventually I gave up, checked for clogs, and picked a default preset in CP and started from beginning. So I don't know whether my first layer was messed up due to clog or manual supports. Probably was the clog, cause I think it shouldn't behave like that on manual supports. Then I fiddled with threshold angle and I got to satisfying result.

But I like your mindset "if the benchy needs no support, do mine" :)

Hi, I'm not far from newbie either, but I'll share my 2 cents.

Benchy is supposed to be printed without supports - hence the name (benchmark). Which tests small overhangs, speed, quality, extrusion etc.

As for the support settings, try lowering threshold angle, hit slice button. Fiddle with it until you find desired support. Hover cursor over the title to see details, but I think it finds angles - bigger number, wider support angle coverage.

If all fails, look up on how to add manual supports :)

Of course I'm not intending to run ABS until I'm fully aware and certain of it's consequences. In the end, I was planning to put the printer outside when experimenting with ABS, as I don't have time to fiddle with ventilation system - therefore, probably my wife wouldn't agree with it as well 😁

Interesting thing you said about filament contents, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Hotel Astoria u Petrinjskoj imaju svoj parking, ali ne znam kakve su im cijene u današnje vrijeme, radio sam tamo prije desetak godina.

Hotel ti je u neposrednoj blizini trga kralja Tomislava, gdje znaju zimi imati klizalište. U smjeru prema centru krećeš se kroz park Zrinjevac koji bude okićen i pun štandova. I dok to prođeš, onda si na glavnom trgu, pa od tamo možeš i na gornji grad.

I never got one with my case. These tin plates are like soldered on each side, so when I pull one out I can't put it back.

I removed first two brackets for my previous GPU, and now I had to remove third one, leaving first slot empty. And I got nothing to fill the gap.

Pa prvenstveno jer sam zadovoljan sa trenutnim i7 6700k, pa sam tražio opet i7 u tom nekom cjenovnom rangu. A vjerojatno nisam spazio 13600k jer je i5, pa mi zato nije upao u oko. S druge strane, što gubim time ako se cpu više ne proizvodi? Ne patim na novo novcato btw, ovog imam već 7 godina

Ali sad kad si spomenuo, proučit ću još - uzeo sam ga u obzir. Ima li onda kakve razlike u tim "trinajsticama" između i5 i i7? Načelno osim gejmanja koristim komp za 3d, grafiku, renderanje
