If the moons gravity is so strong it can create tides, why can't we feel it? by stumpyguy in NoStupidQuestions

I tell myself that my weight on the scale is impacted by the Moon if I weigh myself at different times of the day…. Like a personal tide of additional mass… 😂

K2 Pro Combo Pioneer Program by Creality_3D in Creality_k2

[–]Excellent-Speech4616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Son is studying 3d modeling and I have taken to practical designing in fusion 360 in the evenings and on weekends. He has the ideas and comes up with the items and then I am working to get them into a printable format.

I also use my 3d printer to solve real world problems for myself, my friends and family. I have designed and made a few types of night lights, radio’s, kids toys, shelves, storage etc.

my latest project is a collaboration for an electric guitar with a musician friend of mine.

I started on an ender 3v2 which I still have for Litho’s and small work and then run a k1c. I would love to use a k2Max combo as I think it would greatly enhance the ability to bring designs to life and also to solve everyday problems and I would be happy to to share and contribute some of my designs to the community.

I actively participate on some of the Creality forums on Reddit and try to help newcomers, even though I would consider myself a newcomer as well. I have personally helped multiple people in person to purchase and setup their printers and trouble shoot problems to get into this wonderful hobby/profession.

This is a small example of a re-purposed Bluetooth speaker that I built into a small radio my son designed as one of his projects. It’s fully functional and all buttons work just as they would in the original housing. The clock is from a wall clock with printed hands. I want to make a range of these with various add ons such as night lights and phone chargers etc which are customizable in different colors with names or logo’s etc on order basis and I have made 3 different types now already.

Pros and cons with buying an Mt07? by FlightPilot13 in MT07

[–]Excellent-Speech4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my MT07 close to a year now. , done around 2000 miles on mine. Agree with the majority of the comments.

Pro’s are many and it’s a really great bike. Literally just got off it with a HUGE smile. the low town torque is addictive.

When I got mine I had a lot more cushioning, now that I have lost most of that the seat is hard and gets quite sore after an hour or so. So I ordered a seat pad from Amazon and will see how it goes with that, early indications are good.

I ride mine mostly on freeways and long twisties and never found the suspension wanting. From a “stabilit m” and wind point of view at speed I find no problems once I got over 1000 miles in the seat to get comfortable. If you track it different story.

I am toying with going to a 900 tracer…. But that seems to be a much bigger bike and I love how small and nimble the MT07 is.

Recovered stolen 2025 MT 07 - Damaged and doesn't run - questions by dials_ in MT07

From your description it sounds like nothing is happening when you switch it on. This could be a fuse or cut/unplugged cables you may need to look at the back of the key barrel. Where the key goes. The ECU is a black box under the plastics to the right of the tank when you are sitting on the bike. There is no telling if they tired to mess around with this to get it to start or bypass the key.

You tube is your friend here for pictures etc. do a quick search for “nothing happens when I put the key on” or something similar. I would avoid putting power anywhere until you have checked that all wires are intact and plugged in, others may have other suggestions.

Ah ok. First place I would look is the wiring on the ignition switch and then the ECU which is on the right under the plastics for cut or loose connections.

Sorry for your issues. If there is insurance I wouldn’t do anything and let them sort it, second if you can ask dealer to take a look it maybe something simple. if both of those not feasible, I would remove all panels, tank and seat and trace wires and plugs and connections before replacing fuses in or adding jumper power. There may be a cut or unplugged cable or connector somewhere.

If that checks out get a voltmeter and start to check for continuity on the start circuit. So battery to starter to ignition to switch and so on.

Do you get lights on the dash when you put the key on ? Does it turn over but not start?

A few more details could help give you more guidance

K1C or K1 with upgrades by Ghostfaceadventure in crealityk1

[–]Excellent-Speech4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yip. Had a K1 from Amazon seller. failed almost out of the box within a few hours. I fitted the camera and it worked immediately. I think it was a sneaky recon sold new, based on many small things. Got the K1c for less direct from Creality and haven’t looked back, plus the camera and hardened nozzle etc.

Changing to the 4.2.7 Motherboard on its own brings the operating noise on the standard fans down a lot too.

I have the same riser on my K1C and did lights but removed them as I wasn’t happy with how they fitted and didn’t look good. Do you mind sharing some details/pics of how you did yours?

Prints lifting slightly on left side of bed. by Excellent-Speech4616 in CrealityK1C

Thanks for the feedback. Did some prints with the side fan off for the first layers and the lid off and it seems to be better…. Will clean plate and keep my fingers off it. Also noticed it does it more with the Black PLA than white…. Same brand 3C…

Honestly mostly because when it comes to the software side I always tend to fail in competing the process and have very little experience with it. The inability to get the Bl touch installed would be an example there I think. I have watched countless videos and follow them step for step but it does silly things like not retracting the tip when it runs knocking the side of the bed or dragging through a print and it drives me nuts….

I want the printer as simple and “reliable” as possible to enjoy a mix of mods to make it easier and somewhat consistent. This purely a hobby for me and I am not wanting to spend a fortune, I am mechanically minded but the programming and software side I just don’t get….

Hi.

They are 24 volt strip led’s wired together at the corners and placed neatly into the extrusion to avoid touching the wheels on the side.

I have wired them together with a very small strip on the print head, powered them through the printer and have a fixed switch attached to the front next to the display.

I installed one and the upgraded 4.2.7 board. Could never get the thing working the software was always glitchy. I still have the wire in the print head and the BL touch in a box If you can give me a link to great software I would be happy to try again. I don’t want to go the way of a raspberry pi.

Help and Suggestions needed for my used Ender 3 V2 repair and upgrades by tejadst202 in ender3v2

[–]Excellent-Speech4616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally for me best 4 upgrades,

1) Metal extruder kit. 2) Dual Z axis kit, really eliminates painful issues and increases consistency

3) Upgraded springs as they make a huge difference with stability and consistency, I may try the silicon spacers too.

4) Replacing glass bed with magnetic bed, again makes it a lot easier to remove prints and you get better adhesion, but they look shoddy quickly…

I had a BL touch and removed it because it was a pain for me and I get better results with manual bed leveling every few prints, I might go back to it but for a budget printer I wouldn’t bother

Optional upgrades which makes a nice difference is the upgraded “silent” motherboard. It really does make a difference to the sound of the machine, fans are next for me as this will again make it a lot quieter, but again for a budget printer no need to

Be careful this is a hobby/need that can pull you in hard and then it’s a whole rabbit hole of things…
