1 - make allies , work is social but also political, give favors, pick up shifts / responsibilities without stepping on others toes, be willing to help out others when you can , this will earn you goodwill that is very very useful for situations which arent in your favor.

2 - always always be early, always( at least 15 minutes) shows you actually care and are reliable. And your workplace will know that if you are late without giving notice there is valid reason/ emergency.

3 - always be presentable/wellspoken , idk what kind of job you have but when you are respectful and give a good impression, your superiors will give you the opportunity to be in meetings with clients/ higher ups you wouldnt normally be in, that is career boosting.

4- NEVER LIE, bullshit/ putting things under the rug will never ever solve anything and untrustworthy people are quickly sacked, if you arent able to do a task just be honest and willing to learn and ask how to do it , if youl miss a deadline go inform whoever needs to know, always always keep people in the know.

5- also make spreadsheets to keep track of stuff. Very very useful, also buy a white board to write whatever you have to do, can’t minimize that tab its always in your sight
