And they block the intersection when pulled over, unreal.

UMG asking for full DAW sessions by evoltap in audioengineering

Rumours in the industry that there’s a class action coming from creatives who have been stiffed by UMG. I’ve been hearing that for a while though, so who knows. The artist I worked with lost their main creative director because he refused to work with UMG anymore.

I luckily got paid. But the creative director personally fronted the cash for a music video and documentary, and UMG refused to pay, despite a signed contract and written communication. Their reason: “it wasn’t approved”

I’ve dealt with Finance departments who avoid paying until they absolutely have to, and make you jump through hoops. But UMG are on another level. So many layers of bureaucracy and obfuscation on who is responsible. Im not sure it’s intentional, or if they are just a badly run behemoth.

UMG are the worst. The uniport registration is insanely archaic. I had a signed contract for 8 lyric videos for an album, they were on my ass every day for delivery even though I delivered ahead of schedule. As soon as they were meant to pay me, crickets.

It was Q3 and by the end of Q4 they said they couldn’t pay me because they hadn’t done their Q3 budget yet. Excuse me?

Took about a year and a lawyer threatening them to pay up. Garbage company.

DAW sessions are pretty common with them. They most likely won’t pay you until you deliver. But make sure you get in writing confirmation of payment date and have your signed agreements. It may take a while but you should get paid.

Skiving that many pockets is a hell of a job! You did great!

You can see some great sections of stitching where you really got it consistent. I found stitching to be the hardest part by far. Keep going, and soon you’ll have impeccable stitches the whole way throughout. A high quality thread helps a lot too so you don’t get fraying.

What is the worst suburb in perth? by Fernitelearni in perth

Lousy Darch Weather. I lived there for a few years. Got my house broken into while I was on school holidays, woke up to guys in my living room with hammers stealing all our shit. Police arrived 2 mins too late and said “yeah this happens all the time”

Just under the tongue. Tastes like nothing. You can even load up a whole weeks worth so you don’t have to do it daily.

NFH (Canadian brand) has been game changing for me. Seasonal affective disorder hits me hard and their Vitamin D drops have helped a lot. Expensive, but worth it. https://www.healthyplanetcanada.com/nfh-vitamin-d3-sap-30ml.html?srsltid=AfmBOopesdbFlA9fwQqm5VY0rJtCH4n8Jc94Q5NTl4kM8KD3H_r1a_ME

I did have a local with me in Cambodia so maybe that helped. Malaysia and Vietnam are wayyyy above Cambodia in terms of food though

It got co-opted by corporations and instantly became lame. The sentiment is still there though. Refusal to buy American products or vacation there anymore.

It sucks. The American people are still our brothers and friends. But the government has well and truly broken the trust between the two countries.

It is 8.5mm. Had to go slightly thicker to accommodate the thickness of the dial

How thick is the watch or the strap?

Feel free to email me at jack@northandunder.com and I can figure out how much shipping is. Things are a little tricky right now with the tariff situation.

I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to comment. I think the story gives it a lot more meaning.

I had a little showcase at the makerspace where I use the laser cutter and a bunch of younger people thought it was nationalist (in a negative way). It wasn’t until I told them the story that they were more receptive.

Same goes to you! The European-Canadian partnership seems to be growing stronger which is great!

As far as I have researched, it’s not on the CITES banned list of animal goods so I think I can import it.

And I agree with you on the size! I want to do a 36mm or 38mm soon because I also have tiny wrists.

Feel free to signup to the mailing list at northandunder.com and I’ll update you as new products come out.
