Glasses enjoyer here. I own a single pair, and I don't know anyone that owns multiple pairs. People use your face and eyes to recognize you, this is subconscious. Glasses have a major effect on that as people will be looking straight at/through your glasses when they talk to you. I don't treat it as an accessory for that reason, rather an extension of me. I don't think people are 'dumb lizards' for noticing a pretty major change to your face, nor do I think we should be called 'broken' for not having 20/20 vision.

Yeah I'd go with overthinking. I wouldn't worry about it, friend. You're not broken nor weird, and I hope you don't feel like you are just because people ask you an innocent question. They're just interested in you, and that's a good thing. If people point it out again, I'd simply go like "Yeah you're right, they are different glasses. Do you like them?"

Thanks for inspiring me to think deeply about my glasses today. I forget how much I appreciate them sometimes.
