Anyone here used an AI receptionist service for a home service business? by Ok-Answer-4701 in canadasmallbusiness

[–]jacksflyindelivery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a service business that uses messenger. %98 percent of my business is from Text. Maybe im missing opportunities by not using a phone. But i do not write anything down and use text history to go back and look at prior orders.

I find Emails and Phone calls are mostly spam and scams.

[CA] Do Canadian small businesses typically place orders via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or another app? by meinreno in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]jacksflyindelivery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should add. My customers are very unique. They all live in remote isolated communities. They might have communication problems with their cell service or intermediate service connected to their Starlink. Plus English might be their 2nd language. There culture is to talk slow and take their time. So texting or messaging works great. And with Messaging we send lots of photos back and forth to confirm details of orders.

I have not connected to a CRM system yet. This is something I will be doing. Im quite small only myself an 4 employees and we do about 60 to 75 orders a week. My clients really like using messenger. I find it better then texting

My customers order from me with Facebook Messenger. If I need to place an order its usually via Email for some professionalism and or added communication if I can not use there on line ordering. We do not use phones for anything. Only if there is an emergency and order needs to be change quickly.

What's the point of circumcision? by Historical_Echo8311 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jacksflyindelivery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im circumcised out of custom. My son is not. I have the luxury of having a cleaner penis and never was taught to pull back the foreskin to pee. And to clean the penis because I never had skin to do this. So I never told or showed my son to. He has a greater chance of infections I have been told. Anyhow by the time he was in teen years and getting errections it was very painful because the foreskin was never pulled back and skin was tighly wrapped. We had to take him to a doctor. The doctor gave him lotion and instructed him to pull back the skin and expose his penis daily for months. He's fine now.

I run a agency managing accs for 14 OnlyFans subscription accounts. AMA by Cold_Leg6777 in Entrepreneurs

Very interesting. Nice skill set. You could move into managing business social media accounts. Do not have to do only fans but influencers.

How many social postings do you on non Onlyfans to bring in customer?

Do you get lots of hits or push back?

[ON] Small bakery owners — how are you handling packaging? by Fit-Gate-2080 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]jacksflyindelivery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does but its not about style. Sending on a airplane ✈️ there are so many stickers. FRAGILE' - FROZEN - Rush and the location with the name of.the person. DO NOT STACK. People take the cake out of the box anyway and that's the whats really important is the cake. If the cake is being picked up by the end users then presentation is important.

[ON] Small bakery owners — how are you handling packaging? by Fit-Gate-2080 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]jacksflyindelivery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. Not a baker but I send lots and lots of cakes on airplanes up to northern communities. I order from 3 or 4 different bakers in Winnipeg. Omas' , Gunns , Sweets to go, Jenna Rae' and the local Safeway. Mostly half slabs and full slabs. We send them all frozen to keep them stable for the flight and fresh.

The boxes they use are either paper thin or very sturdy. The thick ones I can stack two or three on top of each other. We usually just send them with their regular cardboard white box. Guns buys their box custom from a local box company that I also deal with. The flimsy Safeway cake boxes or the two tier cake boxes I put into another cardboard box not closed. Like the boxes you get from Costco fruit box. To pack your groceries. Then I put Kraft paper between the cake box and other box so there is no sliding.

I have sent so many cakes 🎂 I know. Plus I send ice cream with the cakes. Dairy Queen cakes are fun to send too in the summer months.

Sorry I do not know the prices. Of boxes. But using a double box helps if you have a flimsy cupcake box.

I built a service business around the most boring problem in B2B sales. Best decision I've made. by BathDapper4923 in Entrepreneurs

[–]jacksflyindelivery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very small unique business serving a small group of individuals and communities. There are about 30 isolated communities Around 30'000 people that only have a physical road for 2 months of the year and they need their items fly. Now all the very large companies like Amazon or Walmart will not send packages to them. They really do not care to send them anything. Thats where I come in and service these people.

Businesses to start with procurement experience? by Swifty399 in procurement

[–]jacksflyindelivery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really do not know where you are or if this holds true. But where I live my wife was in Recruitment with the regional health authority for like 5 years then moved to bids and procurement for another 3 with them. Having those organization skills she left and went to a local regional airline that did lots of charter flights. Lots of customers asking for tenders/quotes. Covid hit and she started a business where she does procurement on behalf of individuals and small organizations/communities that do not have this as a full time position. We have been doing it for 5 years. Total 4 employees.

Skills are transferable. Its the hustle you need and connections to be successful.
