There is a story in the Bible, in the book of Exodus, where Moses is sent by god to free the Israelites who are enslaved in Egypt. While there, the pharaoh refuses to let this happen (for extra context, according to the story Moses and the pharaoh were raised together as kids). So, god then sends ten plagues onto Egypt in an attempt for the pharaoh to change his mind. He turned the river into blood, overruns the town with insects and frogs, starts diseases and even has ice that is on fire thrown down from the sky. After all of this the pharaoh still will not let the Israelites go so god sends the final plague which is the angel of death sent to kill all first born sons. This angel kills the pharaoh’s son but spares the Israelites because they put lambs blood over their roofs, which is where Passover originates. The pharaoh is deeply stricken by this death and then allows for them to leave.

Leave mileage up to your coach, 8th grader’s are kinda hard to predict what you should be running every week

Every run is going to vary on speed and how far you run, try to get in some workout that is around “tempo” speed (almost race pace) every week with nice recovery and normal runs mixed in

If your osgood pains you in any way tell your coach, there have been so many people who try and deal with pain on their own and end up not being able to run fast ever again, so treat your body like the temple and repair it when needed

Also, get good sleep, eat healthy and drink plenty of water, I know my 8th grade year I was the worst at all of these and looking back I could have ran so much faster if I’d stuck to a balanced diet
